- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev came to Stanford University on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, with imitation on his mind. "I wanted to see with my own eyes the origin of success," he told a Stanford audience, after meeting with a group that included former secretaries of state Condoleezza Rice and George Shultz, both affiliated with Stanford's Hoover Institution, as well as Stanford's Dean of Research Ann Arvin and Jim Plummer, the dean of engineering.

No thanks. She was a part of the biggest American foreign policy blunder in US history. She was wrong once, twice, trice--and lied about it. Over and over. If you're wrong that many times at your job, you get written up or threatened with termination. She was a failure in her assessment of global affairs. It shows today--after all this time. Somehow she still holds a position at Stanford. Who takes those classes? Failures-to-be?

Watching these videos in 2023 feels both absurd & sad, it's amusing seeing how far the pendulum has swung since the 'relationship reset' days but in a way it was inevitable.

@zloj11 what I meant z, was: In Russia, they were going to have a space shuttle, but they figured out that the cost was not at all worth it. But the United States went ahead for what reason? maybe just prestige. Pretty soon the Russian space vehicle will be the only way to get to the space station. The United States university education is an elitist system where smart kids who are not rich cannot afford to attend. Rice should be visiting Russian universities instead 2find out how they do it.

This woman speaks no Russian while claiming to be fluent. Fraud.
I have no doubt she studied Russian but there is no evidence I have seen of her speaking it fluently. Knowledge of Russian in the US, even among so-called experts, is very low. Even Hillary as Sec. of State couldn't get anyone to translate 1 word (reset) correctly.
ExVeritateLibertas Knowledge of Russian in the US is not low. It’s just not a popular language to study when you consider the effort and payoff. Many Russian immigrants get certified as teachers or professors to teach authentic grammatically correct Russian. I actually took a proficiency test with one at UC Berkeley.
