I have 5000 rows of data and each rows are tagged to a business unit. Only reps assigned to the business unit can view the particular row data. Is there a more efficient way to manage the row access? I noticed that the lookup column wont display "Person" field

The intention is to have less volume of record in LIST1
There is no Out of Box way to do this, but if you are using Sharepoint Online then can easily do that with Microsoft Flow. In an on-premises way you have to write code , "event receiver" or something else to do that.

Thanks for your feedback. You can’t delete it, but you can essentially hide it from view using one of two methods. Your first option is to rename it and continue to use it as another field. Your second option is to unrequire it and hide it so your users never see it.

never mind I found it, had to go to Site Contents, then Site Settings, then change my Regional Settings to UK as it was still set to USA.

How to add modified by and modified date in list?
You need to change the view of the list to include these item. Please check the view of the list
