Losing our daddies as children robs us of many years of memories...we cherish the few we had time to make all the more! I have few happy memories of mine...most are of him being very ill and in pain. I try to focus on the happier ones knowing he's not in that painful place of illness any longer. 🙌

She can sing beautifully. Wow, I'm in awe! Love this song, brings back memories of the time I was living on a ranch north of mountainburg,Arkansas. In 1973 I wanted to move west and ended up in Arkansas working on a ranch. They had no TV, so we set around the fireplace and singing. Tennessee waltz is my all time favorite song. Bring from eastern North Carolina, I realized ranch life is hard work. It was the most adventurous experience of my life. Sweet memories.

This is how I think the angels in heaven will sound. My mom used to sing in the kitchen while cooking, her favorite was”Farther Along, “ when she sang this in her sweet soprano voice, you just knew there was a heaven. Thanks for sharing this , she’s priceless.

The last time they danced to it was on their 70th wedding anniversary in 2016. They were married for more than 73 years until my dear old dad passed away in 2020. My precious Mother joined him in 2023. Listening to you sing this song so beautifully reminded me once again just how special they were! ❤❤❤

This was my parents wedding waltz in 1955. On their 50th anniversary my son, 14 at the time, surprised them and played it on the piano for them while they recognized it and danced to it. They're both gone now but I'll never forget that special moment❤🥹

This just came up in my feed...my dad wasn't a singer, and I didn't associate "music" with my memories of him...but this brought back the times (maybe once or twice a year) when he'd come across his old guitar, tune it up, and sing this song. And that brought back a few family favorites-- performers Tennessee Ernie Ford, Jimmy Dean, and Hank Williams. Dad died at 96, almost 10 years ago.

I’m a 62 year old, African American and this song brought tears to my heart. (1) Athena harmony rendition was absolutely beautiful; and (2) it made me miss those simpler days when family and friends were near and dear and the crime rate was low.
OMG thank you.... I was born in 1948. When I was little, I somehow learned to play the piano by ear on a children's toy piano. My neighbors left me their piano and what did I play" -- country music!! I remember my Dad asking me to play the Tennessee Waltz, Down in the Valley, Red River Valley,,. etc. Thank you for the memories! My mother would be this age of she had lived...so I too listen to this with tears running down my face, reminiscing of my beautiful mother singing this song. I come from a very musical family, and the only two who couldn’t carry a tune was me and my dad. However we loved to sing, and Tennessee Waltz was his favorite song. We would always sing it together at family sing along, and our family were never critical even though we knew we were not good singers. How I always wished I had a voice like this lady. But I love music so I sing anyway. I am 80 years old now and still love this song and the memories it brings back of my dad. Nowmy son, who has a beautiful singing voice sings it to me whenever he comes to see me.

Beautiful! Was a young child when this song was polupar all over the place…the haunting melody lingered on for years until I understood its words n sadness…am an old old person now , the music still manages to seep through me like I had heard it for the first time.

My mother passed in 2012 at the age of 99. She used to sing this song. It was the number one song the day my twin and I were born in 1951. Always loved the song. This lovely lady sang it beautifully.❤

She can sing beautifully. Wow, I'm in awe! Love this song, brings back memories of the time I was living on a ranch north of mountainburg,Arkansas. In 1973 I wanted to move west and ended up in Arkansas working on a ranch. They had no TV, so we set around the fireplace and singing. Tennessee waltz is my all time favorite song. Bring from eastern North Carolina, I realized ranch life is hard work. It was the most adventurous experience of my life. Sweet memories.

😂 Thank you so very much for this. My parents met at a dance in 1946 and this was the very first song they danced to. That was in 1946. A few months later they were married. The last time they danced to it was on their 70th wedding anniversary in 2016. They were married for more than 73 years until my dear old dad passed away in 2020. My precious Mother joined him in 2023.

This was my parents wedding waltz in 1955. On their 50th anniversary my son, 14 at the time, surprised them and played it on the piano for them while they recognized it and danced to it. They're both gone now but I'll never forget that special moment❤🥹

This just came up in my feed...my dad wasn't a singer, and I didn't associate "music" with my memories of him...but this brought back the times (maybe once or twice a year) when he'd come across his old guitar, tune it up, and sing this song. And that brought back a few family favorites-- performers Tennessee Ernie Ford, Jimmy Dean, and Hank Williams. Dad died at 96, almost 10 years ago.

I’m a 62 year old, African American and this song brought tears to my heart. (1) Athena harmony rendition was absolutely beautiful; and (2) it made me miss those simpler days when family and friends were near and dear and the crime rate was low.
OMG thank you.... I was born in 1948. When I was little, I somehow learned to play the piano by ear on a children's toy piano. My neighbors left me their piano and what did I play" -- country music!! I remember my Dad asking me to play the Tennessee Waltz, Down in the Valley, Red River Valley,,. etc. Thank you for the memories! Right after I saw your vid, I sat down and play the Tennessee Waltz in memory of my Dad. Thank you 🥰

Tears running down my face as I listen to you three singing in perfect harmony, she has such wonderful beautiful voice. All I can do right now on this early morning July 4th 2022 is think of my beautiful mom I lost 2011.
I'm 62 and still can't get over losing my mom, listening to you all singing this song makes me think of special times our family shared and growing up.
Please don't ever stop with your singing, mostly my tears that are falling is the joy reminiscing of moments in time I can never get back.

I come from a very musical family, and the only two who couldn’t carry a tune was me and my dad. However we loved to sing, and Tennessee Waltz was his favorite song. We would always sing it together at family sing along, and our family were never critical even though we knew we were not good singers.
How I always wished I had a voice like this lady. But I love music so I sing anyway. I am 80 years old now and still love this song and the memories it brings back of my dad.
Nowmy son, who has a beautiful singing voice sings it to me whenever he comes to see me.

Beautiful! Was a young child when this song was polupar all over the place…the haunting melody lingered on for years until I understood its words n sadness…am an old old person now , the music still manages to seep through me like I had heard it for the first time.
I remember my parents dancing to this song back in the 1960's in our living room. If I could only go back in time and see them dancing to this beautiful song. This is a childhood memory which I still carry in my heart Bless this lady for taking me back in time.
