My mother had a cousin from North Dakota visit for a month. She had 13 children and a tough life. Her biggest thrill was the fact that she and her husband won 1st place in a dance contest, dancing to The Tennessee Waltz. Her name was Florence, she was a widow and my mother was always good to her. All have passed now. Thank you for the memory and a great version of the song!

Fiona, I promoted Grand Ole Opry shows back in the 70's and early 80's. You have a great tone to your voice, reminds me of the older performers that didn't need all the engineering! I remember how kind and nice Ernest Tubb was, a gentleman! We promoted Earnest Tubb and the Texas Troubadours many times. That band won band of the year, way back then. I understand his record shop in Nashville was closing. Lasted a long time, even after Mr, Tubb's death!
Wow he was as a true country star and we visited the record store on our two trips to Nashville and also performed at The Midnight Jamboree with Leona Williams.
