I went to a massive music festival in Oregon 2017 for the first Total Solar Eclipse in North America in over 20 years! It was a life changing experience.
Nice video. Montreal resident here. My New York cousins have made plans to be in Montreal for this great event. I like your style of speaking for this podcast. Good job.
I'm surprised it took this long for the algorithm to show me this vid. My feed is 60% Eclipse and Montreal travel vids right now as im planning a trip out from the west coast. I was going to drive to TX for best chance of weather but one of my best friends is having his stag in Montreal the next weekend. I'm planning on being flexible to get anywhere from Niagara to New Brunswick to chase the best chance of clear skies. Fingers crossed.
I did a follow-up video showing what we’ll see from Montréal. We’ll be able to see Jupiter and Venus with the naked eye quite easily. Not sure how much the other planets will be visible, though. ua-cam.com/video/Tf9RvJKlxvQ/v-deo.html
Thank you so much for this video ! You explain it so well with a lot of passion. I'm a teacher in elementary school in Montréal and your informations helped me a lot !
5 days before the eclipse and the weather forecast are very good. I am crossing my fingers that won't change, I am so excited to witness that incredible event.
I was born in Montreal and live in Melbourne Australia. I am coming to Montreal on 6 April and intend to go to Sutton on the 7th. I enjoyed your video. Wondered why you wouldn't also go to Sherbrooke or Magog or Sutton to gain an additional 2 minutes. George
Because of traffic jams, I would stay in the country where you don't have to cross the border the day-of. Montréal will get about 1 min 30 seconds of totality, but both Granby and Burlington will get about 3 minutes. So I'd choose that over Montréal, honestly. But go to the place with the best clear skies!
The closest to the centre, the longer the totality will be, so you want to be to the southeast as much as you can, with clear skies the highest priority. Mont Sutton-Sherbrooke is approximately the centerline.
There are no coincidences. God made it this way in a perfect design, it’s part of the test and signs in the heavens are the sign posts as to the timeline.

Very cool video for my homeschooled kids!! Keep them coming!
Will do!
You forgot to mention that there will be an alignment of 7 planets on that day and it makes it even more of a strange and unique event.

Astonishing video! Perfect to convincing my school students and my laval school colleagues to don't miss the chance to come into montreal!
Yes! Please tell all your friends who are just outside the path of totality to make time that day to get into the path.
Thank you so much for this video ! You explain it so well with a lot of passion. I'm a teacher in elementary school in Montréal and your informations helped me a lot !
My pleasure! I also have a mobile planetarium that I bring into schools around Montréal, so don't hesitate to reach out :)

I'm planning on coming to Montréal to see it, would I be better off staying in Granby QC or Burlington Vermont?!

@PlateauAstro I truly just want a reason to visit Canada again if in driving that far already. Thanks for the response.
Hey I'm in montreal right next to the Plateau is there any way I could come pick up glaces directly at your place?
Sorry, I can only offer delivery through the mail at this time.
Hey plateau within the 100% zone where is the best viewing spot in the city?

Any chance to buy ECLIPSE GLASSES from you?
2024 is a leapyear😮
