I will look directly at the sun with no eye protection. It's the best way to experience this phenomenon.
EDIT: I will use binoculars, my eyesight isn't what it used to be
Mike Tython lmao
Mike Tython no itth not
Mike Tython it's also the easiest way to go blind
You can look directly at a total solar eclipse without eye damage. You should use special glasses when staring at a partial eclipse, though. Unless you're a complete badass of course
Volcanoes and magma rivers are natural phenomenon. That doesn't mean you take bath in it to experience it.
The fire nation will never see this coming.

I saw the total eclipse of 1998 ... it was so fkn awesome.. every 400 years... it was a blessing to see it.
The eclipse happens every 216 years to welcome a new member for the God Hand.
There is one happening today
my mother lived in maracaibo in 1998.
@NolaMarieSings01 the one that happened at my location only happens a few 100 years.

Since I live in Georgia, we had to drive to South Carolina to see the whole eclipse in 2017. Worth the drive
Not that far of a drive so what's the big deal
I wonder if there are 'donut' solar eclipses on other planets/solar systems, where the moon is much smaller in the sky in relation to it's sun. It would create a ring or donut shape sun in the sky during an eclipse.
I mean we have annular solar eclipses
Right?
it is not true that sun gives light to moon. "gen" 1/BERESHIT1. IT REPRESENTS YISROEL. AND YH GIVE US MESSAGES OF TORAH TRANSFORMING THE APPEARANCE OF YAREACH. SHALOM
Are you actually unaware that we experience the type of eclipse already that you have described?
It's called an annular eclipse.
all this donut discussion makes me hungry
I was in Corvallis, Oregon at the time, and I SAW THE WHOLE THING!! After THIRTY years of waiting, I FINALLY get to see a total solar eclipse! It was so AWESOME!! I had family there, so it was no trouble at all to find a place to stay. I really am lucky, I know that now. The drive back home was awful, but the eclipse was absolutely worth it. Funny thing, the drive there was EASY! No serious traffic at all going there, it was all in coming back. The next eclipse in the USA will be in April 2024, or so I read. I'll be sure to plan for a trip to the totality part then, too. Total solar eclipses truly are beautiful, I feel like I won the lottery.
Yeah it is!
I seeing the partial eclipses in 4/8/24 & 10/14/23, I wish I could see a total & annular :D (I seeing two partial solar eclipses)
I also gonna see the total lunar eclipse in 2025! (😖o)
have fun bro
Hey, this comment is old. Are you excited for the eclipse next month?
Are you ready for the Elipse today?
Look at this solar eclipse with protection guys. You don't want to get blind.
Nicole The Tomato I don't get what ur saying
Nicole The Tomato lol it would suck if there was clouds or rain while the eclipse
Nicole The Tomato alot people do.
You won't go blind, I don't know where the fuck you people are getting this from.
Do you go blind by looking at the sun for a few seconds on a normal day?
Yes only in the 2 minutes that it's a total eclipse can you really see it with your own eyes but otherwise
I died laughing when she said:be sure to look at the surface not through the cardboard.
I took off my glasses completely during the eclipse and I’m fine. It didn’t hurt my eyes at all. There is basically no light to hurt your eyes during a total eclipse
@@adriangonzalez3yearsago927 it won't hurt your eye because your cornea has no pain receptors,
Be careful next time, you could go blind
@@popinderseth9707 Yikes, thanks for the caution
It's more like "soul"ar eclipse you just feel it in the soul. The energy when you are in the path of totality is phenomenal. No pictures I have seen captured it like my eyes and memory, the ring was pulsating, sunrays lashing about and the animals were going wild. It was so extraordinary. Thank you Bend Oregon and the Ochoco National Forest for hosting us with the most amazing time. "Feel free to howl at the moon"
What if the glasses fall off your head during the eclipse 😂 screwed
Edit: sorry if I sound rude to my reply .. I realized how mean I sound 😂 :/
It's not that bad. I've accidentally glanced at the sun before.
Momei Fang um yes it is that bad.. and it's worse than just glancing at the sun. Please don't reply to my comment without knowing what you're talking about :)
Emily Collins its not like a 4 sec peek will leave u blind
If people get cheapo glasses, made abroad in a factory that oops, had lax quality control, sorry, you're all blind now.
Momei Fang it's not just the sun, a solar eclipse is more powerful than a regular sun, on a regular day. There is a glare and if you look at it you'll go blind, or when you wake up the next day you won't see anything. Your eyes will slowly get darker and darker.
As a kid my eyes were always and still are very sensitive to bright lights. So being upset about that I started to stare at the sun. After about 30 seconds I saw a rainbow around the sun and after finally looking away I lost basically all my sight and started panicking.
Yeah because you was burning your retina

I remember my first solar eclipse, i was a few years ago, from now. During the eclipse, it was rather cloudy outside, so we were worried we wouldn’t even get to see it. Me, my brother and my mom went to an open fieldwere people were gathering to watch. Just as it was a few minutes from the eclipse, our horrors were realized. The clouds started rolling in and nearly covered the sun completely.
We thought we were going to miss our possibly only chance of seeing an eclipse when we noticed something, the sun was still noticable through the clouds.
The cloud coverage didn’t get very thick until later in the day, so the suun’s light was still coming through. In fact, in an interesting turn of events, the coverage was just thick enough to not only still be able to see the eclipse, but some people were actually able to see the eclipse through the whole thing without their glasses. I know, it sounds crazy to do so, but the light wasn’t that bright to do any harm, only just be visible through the clouds.
I have to say, it wasn’t exactly the experience i thought i’d get, but now i think i can safely say that i was one of many that managed to view a solar eclipse without eclipse glasses, and without losing vision.
Go to Texas, 2024 April. Sorry about ur clouds, if it was a clear day it would have blown ur socks right off.

????????!heshsssjdbdhsjs!!!!!!
Why are you thanking them for a computerized explanation? Where is the actual footage of the eclipse? Did you know that never ever once during an eclipse, has the moon actually been present? My point is, Solar eclipses are nothing like what we are told. Research the north node.
Fun facts: Solar eclipses was a way to study the Sun's atmosphere in the past. The size of the Umbra on the surface of the Earth is about 160 km across. The planets can be seen during an eclipse. Solar eclipses do not only happen on Earth, but on other planets too. Actually, some planets may have multiple solar eclipses at the same time. The next total solar eclipse will happen on 14 of December 2020 and will be visible from Argentina and Chile.

I experience solar eclipse everyday. No, I mean every night.
.....no
+pilot Yes we do. The Earth eclipses the sun for everyone every day. An eclipse is just: "an obscuring of the light from one celestial body by the passage of another between it and the observer or between it and its source of illumination."
The Earth is celestial body that passes between the observer, us, and the source, the sun. But if I have to explain that...
InItForTheParking
It says "Solar" Eclipse.
+saar Yes it does. It is our sun being eclipsed, that makes it a solar eclipse.

Perfect and comprehensive explanation! I will share with my students.
When I was like 5, or 6, I looked at the eclipse without glasses. I actually looked at the sun a couple of times more without glasses, directly around that age. I'm 32 now, everyone around me uses glasses, my eyesight is still 20/20. Idk, maybe I was too young to be affected? Maybe my memory is failing me and I actually just imagined the whole thing and didn't actually see anything?...
