Just watched this again. Tom needs his own show. Even if he just sits there and comments on current events it would be hysterical. He is a gifted comedian besides being a great actor.
Doing comedy is definitely a calling for him, he has excellent comic timing. Have a search for Swiss Toni and the episode, 'Cars Don't Make You Fat' where he plays a parody of film director, Ken Russell. Such a shame that Tom never had a full time sitcom written with him completely in mind.
Tom Baker's vocal quality has the characteristics of being distinguished but ALSO perfectly suited for playing demented characters... although it really doesn't have quite the same impact when it isn't paired with the visuals of him giving people that "Gomez Addams" mocking smile! (You're never quite completely sure if he's having fun AND teasing, OR he's just plain nuts!!!!) Come to think of it, he does have a similar comedic aspect to John Astin! Both very fine actors but let's face it we (the audience) love them best as crazy people!
"Webisode sounds very futuristic, very space-age. Which remind me, have I got time to tell them about when I was battling Davros on the planet--" "NO!" "....What do you mean, 'no'?"
+Daniel Williamson I like and respect Tennant. He was the first Doctor I watched along with Eccleston. BUT Tom Baker made me fall in love with the Doctor and the show. His Doctor was absolutely brilliant and the most believable and natural in the role period! Legendary and Iconic truly fits Tom's Doctor. He quite simply is THE DOCTOR!😆
I just want Tom Baker to make me tea and tell me stories about his life. There's a reason I've listened to his autobiography so many times. he is SUCH an Aquarius.
I was in the audience at the BFI and managed to get in the very last question. Shame the audience questions didn’t make it to UA-cam. He was incredibly funny.
John Hurt did more Doctor Who... He did at least one of those Big Finish Doctor Who radio dramas and was in at least one episode of the Matt Smith run of Doctor Who in addition to the 50th Anniversary Special.
@@AvengerII If I remember correctly you only saw the sillouette of John hurt interacting with 11 and Clara in the other Matt smith episode and then he was introduced after the episode as the war doctor
Tom Kenning I would recommend the ark in space which was his second story as his first robot takes place just after the regeneration from 3 to 4 plus ark was the first of Tom’s I watched and it’s probably one of the most accessible adventures of the Doctor hope this suggestion helps
and Peter Davison(well actuallyJNT) called Tegan the "coordinator". the correct terminology is navigator. one who guides a ship long distance by nautical means. a coordinator is someone who sorts out nasty paper work in a bureaucracy. Tegan could do that too I suppose.
4th doctor tom baker 4ever! one good thing about tenet is he delivered the bubeblyness of the 4th doctor well that did show that he was once the 4th doctor not so much the qirky and funny delivery.
Favourite Tom Baker quote 'When ever I see a fat person, I spit on them, as I would a dog, and urge you to do as well' Second favourite ' have you ever done it gay style, I have it's a hoot'
Really hope that isn't true. The first one, that is. If so, that's honestly really disappointing. But that's a known problem in way too much of British culture.
Tom should team other guy Bill oldie do funny things he greatest guy it be wast for aged he is well will got he we use him If up to it . I seen him that Scottish show his play old brother who got up trouble he was so funny I piss me self That was long time I saw it he was older an Grayer bit fatter but still brilliant in it
he's magnetic, brilliant and remarkably well loved.
I totally agree!!!
And as mad as a box of frogs - and long may he continue
TOM BAKER IS THE BEST DOCTOR ,SUCH A HUGE PERSONALITY.
He's bigger on the inside
Pat Troughton? :P

Surprised he never had his own radio show either. He'd make some great late night radio chat.
I couldnt agree with you more. Tom should narrate video documentaries and audio books. Hes a great raconteur.
@@logicalnetwork1611 it was his voice that I had recognise when he appeared in Blackadder as Captain Rum
There's 'Tales of Aesop' which he narrated.
“Did you talk to Jon Pertwee!”
“NOO!!”
Just consider how blessed we are to live in the time of Tom Baker.

"Bloody David Tennant!" - Yes Tom, this is how we all feel
David Tennant is the best Doctor since Tom Baker.
+Daniel Williamson I like and respect Tennant. He was the first Doctor I watched along with Eccleston. BUT Tom Baker made me fall in love with the Doctor and the show. Bradley Willard every human being with more than one brain cell thinks that
Lol's😀
I respect David Tennant. He's a great Doctor, and a great actor all around.
I absolutely love this guy.
Tom Baker is a universal treasure♥♥
He IS the best thing about Little Britain
Hailey Shannon I ONLY watched it because of Tom.
YE A KNOW
I just want Tom Baker to make me tea and tell me stories about his life. There's a reason I've listened to his autobiography so many times. he is SUCH an Aquarius.
right like as a fellow aquarius the energy is staggering
I'm just thinking about despite all the troubles there are in the world today, we still have Tom to brighten up our days
Tom Baker for Prime Minister, he'd unite the country if he did press conferences like this
I was in the audience at the BFI and managed to get in the very last question. Shame the audience questions didn’t make it to UA-cam. He was incredibly funny.
I'm glad he's alive, nothing says best doctor like Tom Baker!
Tom Baker really loves crumpets
That picture of Tom and John makes me sad. He was such a good Doctor even if it was just for one special.

Was spectacular, aye, if we had mcgann and hurt from 96-2005 there’d be no complaints
💙🔥💙Thank you for posting! I will love and adore Tom Baker forever.
1:23 OH FUCK IT!
No time or budget for outtakes back in the 70s...
Jack Hüskÿ I had to rewatch it a couple times because my brain didn't really comprehend the fact that he swore 😂
Cassandra Nom de Plume Watch some more of his outtakes. You'll be shocked.
Omg that was hot XD
Wow he really cracked me up!
Tom Baker is the best doctor by far.
Troughton?
Tom is my favorite doctor ❤ he is the character and I love that
Tom is the only man in Britain who can call women "crumpet" and get away with it.
Widmerpool99 everyone used to.
It was common slang
never heard thay before. im even american
Nobody makes me laugh like him.
Just love him!
Tom Baker I first see you as the Doctor in Marvel Comics
I know this was something sad for him, but to hear Tom say my name at 5:34 in that way was lovely even now.
You know, I've never once watched an episode of Tom Baker as the doctor but I love his personality
Tom Kenning I would recommend the ark in space which was his second story as his first robot takes place just after the regeneration from 3 to 4 plus ark was the first of Tom’s I watched and it’s probably one of the most accessible adventures of the Doctor hope this suggestion helps
You should, and have a jelly baby too!
That was priceless
Mesmerisingly brilliant 🤩

Thanks for uploading this,
Very welcome
Tom Baker is all the life in Nicholas and Alexander. he movie is dead until Tom comes on and then it comes alive.
I have to agree. It's an okay movie But Tom Baker earned the double Golden Globe nomination's he got and he is a highly underrated actor.
Yes he was tremendous as Rasputin "You're trying to kill me hahahahaha!"
What an amazing man

+TaintedGrape No. That was the ghost of Jon Pertwee
+papalaz4444244 Maybe it was the bloke who played Adric.
I think it was Sutekh! He's still pissed at the 4th Doctor for defeating him!😅
It's just the Master being a bastard...
+AvengerII I think your right! Maybe he still hates the 4th Doctor for pushing him into a hole in the ground in "The Deadly Assassin".
and Peter Davison(well actuallyJNT) called Tegan the "coordinator". the correct terminology is navigator. one who guides a ship long distance by nautical means. a coordinator is someone who sorts out nasty paper work in a bureaucracy. Tegan could do that too I suppose.
A 1 pedantry squire,,, this iswhy we love drwho fans
