When this becomes “Official”, please keep the studio nuts away from it. Elyse’s emotional voice and the simple backing as in this version is ALL it needs. Sounds perfect as is!

Speaking for us professional "studio nuts", we have a job for darn good reason and it doesn't include ruining a good song. But I get your point.
This sounds like a song you’ve made up in your dream and can’t remember in the morning because it’s just too good to be real.
It’s that moment of clarity in our trauma and adhd ridden brains that evaporates ever so quickly and we’re usually unable to capture.

I know this is an old video, but I just found this song & loved it. I had a stroke when I was 34y/o & have short term memory loss. This song is the ONLY “new” song that I’ve been able to remember the lyrics, melody, beat, etc. the next day+ in the last NINE YEARS & am beyond devastated that it is unfinished! It’s absolutely beautiful & hope it gets the attention & recognition it deserves. Until then, my brain thanks you for the constant earworm loop

I absolutely love this song. And i agree, I was hit by a truck when I was 14yo and sustained a TBI and short-term memory loss and I loop this song all day in my head too. It's absolutely beautiful!!

It really is man there’s so much songs have done in the past that shows this is if u are from the uk then u lots might remember grenfell after that happened so meny artists did a cover off bridge over flowing water with like 20 artists it was crazy or wene stormzy called out our pm at the time and sung about it

Her voice isn't bad however, this version has had a lot of post production tweaks to correct it. But the music fits the style the musician was going for.
@@MrDemoncrusher there are a lot of minor tweaks but I think they’re only needed because this isn’t a proper recording, just her singing in her room to her phone. She’s a great musician!

As a songwriter myself, I can say that this is absolutely a musical masterpiece. I’ve been listening to this on loop, and ever since Elyse released this short, I’ve been obsessed! The song is so well cut and backed with music. Ugh I’m obsessed! Thank you so much for this awesome masterpiece!!!

I’m kind of disappointed this won’t be the version that’s released. It really has such a great vibe and is so well recorded. The parts come together super nicely and are all really interesting. Love the little riff thingy on the ‘all alone’ line as well, it sounds so cool! It could do with a few more lyrics but I understand why that wasn’t really possible here. Anyway, love this, amazing job, can’t wait to see what you do in the future!

Did you know that Michael Jackson didn’t play any musical instruments or know how to write music? Despite this he wrote so many songs and the music to go with them and he did it by humming, beatboxing and ‘singing’ the music to the producers so that they could translate it into what he heard in his head. There is a video where he is talking the producers through a song in this manner.
So you are not the only one who needs someone else to ‘excavate’ the music out of you and just like Jason has done with Elyse’s song. I believed the best things in this world, if not almost everything, is accomplished thro collaboration with other talented people, but of course this is the last thing we teach young people, our society would like to believe the individual is everything and it’s one of the biggest lies ever told.
Dig that music out and bring it to the world.
