- The third episode of the StarletBusa videos features some test driving after we get the engine back together and mount our new CV joint driveshaft setup. We still have some work to do and we'll do more in the next episode!
Check out our StarletBusa merch to support this build!

super cool car!
Thank you, can't wait to finish it!
@@omd_sd definitely do a full overview when it’s done! love the billet pieces and the attention everywhere. top notch, excited to follow ur guys work!
Jeep things.. "oh yeah well this is a 77" big whup.
Dam what’s the build like on the blue car in the background 😁
Haha, full Prius build video coming soon
Those engine mounts are gorgeous. Any info to share on them?
What would you like to know?
@@omd_sd we’ll, were they an in house creation, or did you buy them elsewhere? Undertaking this swap into a stripped out Miata. Goal was to do driveshaft directly to rear diff via a counter sprocket adapter. Gearing in diff should be half the length of the stock hayabusa final drive, but pushing nearly double the weight… so theoretically the engine doesn’t know it’s pushing any more weight down the road. Hopefully this pans out… we will see.
@@lawsonharsch3332 We made them in house. custom fit to my engine bay. As for the gearing, it's most important to find a set up that brings the 1st gear down to a useable speed.
@@omd_sd based on my excel spreadsheet math, I should be 15 mph max in first gear based on rear gear and tire size on the car.
@@lawsonharsch3332 That doesn't sound right. 1st should be around 45-60mph
Where can I get that yellow in frame/ mount
If you're talking about the engine mounts, we designed and made those in house. One of a kind
How's the reliability of that Starlet?
Engine has been great. But we've snapped 3 axles haha. Suspension upgrades coming hopefully this summer.
