    I absolutely agree that when you say "leave your hair alone, it will grow back". I can attest to that. I have butt long locks and I was never a believer in twisting my locks or having people putting their hands in my hair. I however found the middle of my hair thinning. I was terrified. I really listened to you and I stopped washing my hair every two weeks, wore it up and high on me head. Also stuck with my natural and real Jamaican Castor oil and the real Jamaican coconut oil. Both manually pressed in Jamaica. I myself am Jamaican, so each time I went home, my husband would get my supplies. I am happy to say that after six months of taking your advice, my hair has grown back just as thick as it used to be. Thanks again

      @@p.r.9982 Yes! Do not put any products in your hair. Shampoo has chemicals that will build up in your hair over time. Just use Dr Bronners Castille Soap, ACV, and water.

    A bald patch in that area could also be signs of low thyroid function. I had a patch in exactly the same spot & it turned out to be subclinical hypothyroidism

      I think if that would have been his problem it wouldn’t be growing back without medical treatment. Plus she said in the beginning of the video that it wasn’t a medical problem, so I’m sure he went to the doctor and they told him it was traction alopecia since that’s what she also stated.

    You are right! I love messing with my hair, not always styling but just "itchy fingers" lol. I do loc rests and palm roll every now and then interlock when needed (once since I've started). Leaving it alone + water+light oils+regular washing+sunlight has turned things around! and my neck hurts less

    My hair grows around 4 inches in around 3 months and even then I don't touch my hair every 2 weeks. It's more of every 3 months. The less I touch it the more it grows the healthier and thicker it gets. I obviously make sure its clean and my parts don't get matted but that's just how my hair is. I get so nervous about it just falling out or breaking off.

    This sister has a lot of work to do for herself, her mental and emotional health #1. Start getting to know your hair. Cut the hair down low bald if needef, rock your earrings, let your hair grow (FREEFORM) keep it clean a little natural oil, coconut oil on the scalp, whatever works for you. respect your hair (LEAVE IT ALONE). Do preventive health care read about scalp conditions see a Doctor. Eat well, drink water and take your vitamins. This beautiful Sister can do it (To your own self be true). Thank God for Yannie she gives people hope. I know because she helped me.

    hate to say it but you have too realize that many hair stylists are out to get a check and will give bad advice with little to none knowledge about locs. A had one friend get his locs re-twisted every two weeks until his broke off at the crown. I knew another guy who loctician braided his locs when they were still wet and he left that braided style in for 3 weeks; took them down and got mold in his hair. smh

  • @angiesworld8038
    @angiesworld8038 5 років тому +1

    My loctician wants me to go back on the 17th of this month in March but I might just cancel because I don't need it to be palm rolled when she had just did it on the 18th of feb. It doesn't need to be neat like you said because that's counterproductive on having locs.

    I cannot go any longer than 2 months between retwisting. My scalp gets SERIOUSLY sore and tender when I get too much new growth. I'm very light on products so product buildup is not the cause of the tenderness. I don't know what the issue is. I've tried scalp massages but nothing works. I stretch my retwisting sessions to every 1 1/2 to 2 months. Any longer that and I'm climbing the walls. If you have any ideas on how to make the pain go away? I'm all ears. Oh and I drink enough water, too.

      you could be having an allergic reaction to the products you are using. I found that sudsing agents in many shampoos caused my scalp irritation, tenderness, and dry scalp and hair. I switched to using Raw Black ash soap and a shampoo made from soap nuts (you can make your own too, but it's time consuming). I have noticed less itching/dryness and more natural oil production and moisturized hair with no additional product use. It's been a huge difference!

    Am going to have to disagree on the baldness coming from 'neatness'. Now am not saying your hair won't pop from to much twisting. Yet, my easy had LOCS since he was 16 and up until he was about 22-23. An just by our own experience he started noticing his hair was thinning out in the same area that fellows hair was😤Let me remind you he hardly ever twisted his hair😳So he cut his hair at the age of 23🤔An noticed he was receiving 'going bald'😳I would tease him and say, Man you should of never cut your hair💈He's tried saving it but no luck..😟So sad lol I hear you say you go bald by your mothers side. Well my esh gets his boldness from his Fathers side. Thanks for the videos elder. Shalom🕊
