Watch This Before You Play Rogue in Season of Discovery Phase 4

- These new Backstab and Tank builds may not be all that amazing for Rogues looking to top the dps meters in PvE raids, but they sure are fun for filling other rolls, PVPing and leveling. Previously you wouldn't be caught dead not running Mutilate and Deadly Brew at all times, however, now with these new updates to the old Backstab runes: Slaughter from the Shadows, and Shiv, which is now Cuttthroat, It's much more viable to run these other options when doing things like questing, dungeons, and battlegrounds.
Slaughter from the Shadows will now also decrease the cost of Backstab by an additional 10 energy, as well as add a 15% chance to allow you to cast an Ambush without having to be in stealth.
The new Cuttthroat rune replaces the old Shiv rune, and allows you to use Backstab and other 'behind the target' abilities from in front of your target. This makes it much easier to use them while leveling up and engaging in pvp.

When I saw the mutilate change I was nervous at first, but the backstab changes are exciting! Personally I just like playing as a dagger rogue.
Ive just been running backstab ambush and its super simple and fun
REALLY liking the cutthroat build. Praying to the developer gods it’s made viable to spice things up.
Same, I swapped out from muti as soon as I got Cutthroat, build is a beast, can't wait to try it in raid next week
Ye swapped out mutilate with cutthroat and running it with slaughter from the shadows dps burst has doubles easily

I'm still leveling and I'm torn between slaughter from the shadows and just a flesh wound. I notice a great deal of defense w flesh wound but definitely slower then slaughter
I'm totally fine with mutilate being the best for all of it, Something Will be optimal and that's what people play. Spreading us too thin by needing swords and daggers Will suck. If we're calling this classic and I think we should having a niche is just fine.
yeah I'm fine with it too, Saber Slash and Mutilate are fun in raids and this is more fun in pvp, and leveling without having as much wind up. Honest W from the Devs
