Helicopters have come a long way in ease of use. I used to watch guys fly them in my neighborhood park. It would take them months of flight time just to hover and land without yard saleing them, let alone getting inverted. That thing is pretty dope. Congrats on the acquisition.

What’s up! I got the FMS Ranger 1220mm around a month ago and have never had a successful landing 😢😢😢 do you have any tips (btw I rebuilt it using hot glue and toothpicks and it flys good as new when it’s in the air)
Yo! Sorry to hear that, but good news. Landing is the hardest part and just requires practice. Good job rebuilding it!! Fly away from you and start slowing down your speed to around 50% throttle, gently turn the plane back towards you and dont have it super high in the air, come in at like tree level height. Focus on getting the plane level and in the correct direction, once it is, completely cut throttle and let it float down, but dont allow it to get to slow. Gently add a LITTLE throttle/light elevator if needed. Also, ALWAYS land and take off into the wind. Hope this helps!
Always land into the wind. No wind? Use full flaps to slow plane down. STOL planes however don't always need flaps to slow down. They float pretty well at just above walking pace. Always land approaching you and aim to touch down just before you. Don't confuse yourself and fly past or over you getting fumbled with orientation. Basically keep it consistent till ur well confident. Have the timer on the throttle beep at 25% and this is about the sweet spot for bringing the plane down. Hearing the beep on and off as u blimp down and up on throttle helps u know where ur throttle is without having to look at the sticks. 25% throttle should be enough to not stall the plane. Maybe drop it to 20% if u still aren't descending. If the plane is about 20m coming in it should be no higher than head height, thats about a nice glide slop to touch down at ur feet. 10m away bring throttle down to 10% at waist height, 5m away knee height you'd be good to cut throttle and EASE on with the flare to soften the landing.

Yo! Sorry to hear that, but good news. Landing is the hardest part and just requires practice. Good job rebuilding it!!
