- From the much-loved 'Magnificent Century' to the latest hit 'Gaddar', Turkish TV series are becoming more popular than ever. The country has become one of the top three exporters in the sector after the United States and Britain. But why have they become increasingly appealing to foreign audiences?

Because, Turkiye doesn’t show/ expose nudity, homosexuality, nor the sex scenes in their Serieses like The Western Shows. Turkish serieses are based on actual events / history. They dont promote or show any irrational things. They show us the true History of the world. They are uncovering of all things.
Indeed, a lot of editing if some awkward scenes occurred even in foreign movies

I myself watch Turkish series, very selectively though,
I also stopped watching Americans, mostly politically correct, engaged, i turned to British & Turkish
But nothing can replace Bosch Legacy & such, series going on for countless season
I won’t be so proud to invoke few historic series, from those who conquer the globe, dominated the world, u instead belittle Westerners cinemas entities , including Egypt, that realized Mega historical movies, one of the last blockbuster is “The Gladiators “
Not only about history,we can also remember those about religions, politics w/ a mega money makers
I understand u spinning Turkish entertainment towards the West,w/ propaganda, still not ready though, try to learn from Egyptian & Bollywood maybe u will be welcome

I came upon Turkish tv by accident. Since then, I have watched these masterpieces such as Seyit &Sura, Kara Sevda, Hatirla Sevgelli, Bride from Istanbul, Becoming a Lady and much more. I don’t speak Turkish but just from the gestures and acting I guessed what was going on. Turkey has so many talented actors and actresses that are world class and they deserve the success they are now experiencing. I only wish that there are more English subtitles so that I and millions of others can understand the dialogue. I’m from Australia and have given up Hollywood since I started on Turkish tv.

As an American I've turned to Turkish series. The acting and actors themselves are 10x better than what we've got going on over here. America has taken out the "Masculine male hero" I believe that's why Turkish series are beginning to be successful here. Thanks to UA-cam I've been able to watch so many.

Another thing driving people to Turkish dramas is the fact that many markets have moved towards reality TV shows and people crave well made scripted dramas. TikTok fan edits introduced me to Turkish dizis in January 2023, and I have been addicted to them for over a year.
I am from Aruba and I love Turkish series. The stories are different and that is what is appealing. The historical Drama's were an eyeopener for most westerners, because we never taught about the rich history for Turkiye. It is fascinating and inspires you to learn more about that part of the world. My bucket list includes a historical tour of Turkiye, can't wait to embark on this journey!

I started watching turkish dramas in 2019 but stopped watching for a while because of the long episodes. I picked it up in September 2023, and my dear t drama lovers, the 2 hour episode is now not enough for me. I am watching ertugrul and its so nice. I don't find american shows awesome anymore.
This is only a propagandist document, Turkish will be recognized worthy only by Hollywood , just like Egyptians & many more worldwide countries

I think it’s would be 1st if dubbing in Bangla, Hindi,Urdu language.
Because south Asian people love turkey culture and people from ottoman Empire and in this region lived in 2 Billion people (india 1.4 billion, pakistan 230million, Bangladesh 190 million)
South Asians only likes historical Dramas and don’t watch in streaming services
@@hasinabegum1038Only a small fraction of Indians watch Turkish drama. In india among the older generation mainly indian dramas tend to be popular while in younger generation Anime, American dramas and Korean dramas are more watched

I am another American so impressed with Turkish tv series. I stopped watching Hollywood tv ages ago. I watched BBC for many years but have now discovered Turkish TV. Turkey has produced some of the most amazing child actors. Beren Gökyıldız is the best I’ve seen. I’d recommend Kizim and Çocukluk for super plots, touching performances, and vocabulary for English learners of Turkish.

Turkish tv series industry is not professional enough to gain huge opportunity to take global market. It failed to catch maximum percentage of English speaking viewers. It would be a great opportunity to make a industry English dubbed series. It will give more actors a new job and Trurkey will get millions of viewers. I have seen in comments sections of shorts of Spanish dubbed Turkish series in Facebook. Lots of people were interested to watch. They have subtitles but it is difficult for those who has eye problem or when you are reading subtitles, you failed to see whats happening in the series. I don't know why they aren't never thinking of it.
I have seen in Germany,Spain etc, they dubbed every English tv series,movies on their own. My advice for Turkish tv series industries, there are a huge market for you. Just be professional and get the opportunity to be a world leader 🎉

none of them are historically correct. They are propaganda.

i thought korean series are more popular but turkish series in the 3rd are not suprising because lot of muslim country watch turkish drama and i believe the balkans also have some similar culture with turkiye and make it more easier for turkish drama to shine
Well actually turkish series were banned in other muslim countries, but the new market for Turkey is Italy and Spain in addition to Latin America and Asia.
@@oznuraygen7254 biggest muslim population is indonesia, they not ban turkish drama, second biggest muslim population is india which is not a muslim country, 3rd is pakistan, not ban turkish drama too, central asia has a lot of turk and they not ban turkish drama, it make sense if middle east banned turkish drama but muslim population are bigger in southeast asia, south asia, africa..not middle east

While historical/Ottoman dramas became popular among Muslims audiences, other genre also well accepted by international audiences because of the good acting and storytelling. We can also a glimps of beautiful Turkey as a tourism destination; even the actors are feast for the eyes (good looking) due to mixed demographic of Turkish population resulted from historical adamixture (European+ Asian). No obscenity, no political-pandering, mostly family-friendly and just good entertainment.
One question with turks you can make turkey language as optional during ottoman empire or can adopt optional English in literature so that we can easily communicate with each other , its hard to watch with subtitles.
i watch Turkish series mainly because i am fan of Cagatay Ulusoy, have watched all his dramas....currently enjoying Gaddar 🤗

Turkish series the best I lost part of my hearing and started watching Turk series Early bird definitely my favourite all of Can Yamans series are great along with Alp Nauru’s, …….. ibrahim celikkol, Demet Ozdemir the best female actress. ❤ have not watched main stream tv for 2 years keep them coming but please put English subtitles I have leant some basic Turkish language from viewing these series

I love Turkish dramas except that there is a lot of abuse of women in many i have watched including Ruzgarli tepe. The writers need to really be rethink their plots and values.
