Thanks for making those videos. They are all great to watch and learn. Keep up the good work! I have got DS-7732NXI-I4 / S which is very similar except it does not have POE ports. I can set up face capture for one camera. I can set up face comparison for one camera. Should be able to set up comparison for up to 4 cameras, but other cameras are not comparing anything. What could be the problem? Does it mean that for other 3 comparasions to work I need a dedicated camera that has face capture (or detection) function built in so NVR can compare the images?
Hi Ruba and thanks for the kind words, with the 4 cameras are they all 4MP or under as that is the limit ? also does the camera have the option under the local web interface to change the VCA resource to face capture? If yes select that and it will reboot, then try adding those cameras against the face comparison list that you have made , if you are still stuck let us know

what is difference between DS-7732NXI-I4/16P/4S 32CH AcuSense NVR and DS-7716NXI-I4/16P/4S which one best one?
I have the same receiver. Now on the app it doesn't show human vechile like it did on the K series. Is there an option on this to enable it

Please I'm interested in DS-7616NXI-K2, need to know if AI motion detection 2.0 will work on all channels (4MP cameras), basically to filter out false alarms and only be alerted of Human motion detection? and is this noisier(fan) than regular 7616ni-k2?
Excellent video, Sorry this is slightly unrelated to the video but Ive not long upgraded to a DS-7716NI-I4. In your opinion Dave am i best to run all my cameras on a separate POE switch or use the built in POE ports to power the cameras? At the minute i have them running from the internal POE but would like to integrate my NVR with home assistant. Ive found this isn't possible with them connected to the NVR as they are on a different network.
Is using the built in POE ports better than a separate switch do you think?

if you have them on separate network that the home assistant can see , and they are detected and work , then yes that is the way to do this, its no different to adding them this way to the NVR or via the internal POE , just the cost of additional switch 😊
how can i stop the nvr changing the ip address of the camera cause i still like to use the web browser to change the camera setting sometimes
It is not mentioned topic, but I need tech advice. Does DS-9632-M8 NVR support AcuSense cameras. I looked into datasheet of NVR but there are nothing specific mentioned about human/vehicle detection on NVR channels?

Hi there, was wondering if you can help me. I have a Hikvision DS-7608NI-I2/8P NVR. Last Friday my security company was at my house swapping it out for a new one and they must not have set the date right because yesterday I went to play back footage and it was saying it was Tuesday, October 18 (when in fact it was Monday, October 17). I reset the date yesterday at noon to Monday but the problem is when I go to play back today Tuesday, it is showing me yesterday's footage (I guess because it was showing as Tuesday yesterday morning until lunch). When will the recorder catch up and record in real time or is there something else I need to go? Live play is showing the correct day and time as of noon yesterday, Monday 10/17. My security company is absolutely terrible and are of no help but as a last resort I will make them come back out.
With IE support ending in June 2022, what are Hikvision doing to move to more modern browser support, while maintaining full functionality?
You can use other browsers now but IE gives the full functions , I will check there latest plan

@@richarker It's worrying that the only way to playback video with the Accusense NVRs is by Internet Explorer. All the other functions inc live view work in Chrome.

I bought 4 off Hikvision PTZ, DS-2DE5425IW-AE cams,
I was planning to fit 1 to each corner of my house.
However, I have opened one of the boxes, and I feel they are too big for my use.
Do you think they are too big for a domestic property?
What Hikvision PTZ should I have ordered?
they are smaller than a lot of PTZ but they could look big on a domestic , DS-2DE4425IW-DE(S5) is a size down and maybe a better suit for this

are the Configuration tab UI options influenced by the type of Camera you got or the NVR ?
Because I will pair a HikVision ColorVu 8MP with a DS-7616NI-I2/16P NVR and I am scared that certain features on my camera won't be shown because of the NVR "Limitations".
in most respects the tabs will appear on the recorder and if the camera supports it , it will allow you to set them , if not it wont 😊

I have the DS-7716-NXI-14/16/4S model, purchased in 2021 in the US. This version has been discontinued. It seems it does not have the ability to control the camera settings e.g exposure, from a browser or from ivs-4200. Only contrast/brightness. The newer /S model, as you show, appears to provide this with the direct link to the camera control.
😅While I like the unit, it really seems like a poor move by Hikvision to stop support for this less that 2 year old model, only to introduce a nearly identical model (with the same model number, less the 4) whose firmware is not compatible with the previous unit.
Is there a good Colorvu camera that supports two way audio? I was thinking of creating an interphone system with such a camera for a gate (maybe even an external trigger to which I could wire the bell button).

I have a couple of questions :
1) If I am fitting pretty much all 4K/8MP ColorVu Acusense Cameras is it worth getting a AcuSense DVR or regular I series ?
2) I assume from what you've said, if I have mostly 8MP Acusense cameras it's probably safer simply to use all the features on the camera, and if Acusense NVR simply switch them off on the DVR ?
3) Do you know if and when they'll be increasing the 2MP analysis to 4MP or better ?
to be simple if you have AcuSense camera, just use the I series NVR , there is no need to use the AcuSense NVR in this instance 😊

the Face Rec NVR is the most accurate way of doing this , and you can still utilise that camera 😊

I'm confused, I bought the DS-2CD2387G2-LU camera which has accusense. However my NVR is the DS-7608NI-I2-8P. Can I get all the functionalities with this NVR or do I need to change it with the NVR accusense?
You will get all of the functions that the acusense camera has for that channel. If another camera to another channel does not have acusense then you won’t have it on that channel. But if you get acusense NVR you can have this features to any camera.
Would you say the Hik colorvu 8mp is a good option for home security .

nope they dont work with liveguard - stupid hey ! i bought a couple of these acusense nvrs thinking keep all acusense the same - absolutely worthless unless you are upgrading an older site !. Liveguard is awesome ... pity its a bit of work to get going and only a few nvrs support it. a little tip i have worked out - if yout want more than one user to log on and off the system - make there phones use the one account - do not use seperate accounts and then you can have multiple people turn the acusense zones on and off.

What's the best top 3 home CCTV setup for day and night vision bud?
for me its either Acuesense and powered by darkfighter, ColorVu and Acuesense, camera and K / I series NVR to be honest

@@TheXileBillz Take advice from a New York cop. If you're not getting a great image from ColorVu... The highest priority in your security plan right now is lighting. Not cameras.

A lot of the latest NVRS on GUI 4 will allow a custom layout function for the live view and custom layout allows 2 cameras yes

Anyone else get the partial green screen when playing back on Hik-Connect during daytime only use (works fine at night). Only started when I upgraded the NVR to this new series. I dropped frame rate to 15 but still doing it. Any advice?
It’s a firmware related issue, have you updated to the latest firmware?
@@DVSLTD yes all the firmware is updated. The system is a DS-7732NI-I4/24P with 2 indoor stations, 2 outdoor stations, 10 CCTV cams (7 are DS-2CD2385G1-I and 3 are the new DS-2CD2387G2-LSU/SL) I still have 3 or 4 more to add. I’m running a DS-3E1318P-E PoE switch and the front outdoor station has 4 modules (keypad / name scroll / mifare card reader and villa door station). I run everything on iVMS-4200 and pretty much designed it based on your information. It’s not working perfectly (ie the front gates only open with mifare care swipe not keypad code entry. And passage gate only opens with keypad entry not card swipe) few little annoying things i haven’t quite worked out but overall it’s doing the job. For now reducing the bit rate and frame rate on the main stream has kinda fixed the green box problem for now. Thanks for your reply. Cheers

I am trying to find the differences between the DS-7732NXI-I4 vs DS-7608NXI-I2 other than the amount of channels. I have 6 HIK Vision cameras around my property 1 PTZIP204WX4IR, 4 have colourvu (DS-2CD2347G1-LU) and 1 has Accusense (DS-2DE3A400BW-DE). My DVR is DS-7616NI-K2-16P and I just ordered DS-2CD2387G2P-LSU/SL to replace PTZIP204WX4IR. I have endless false alarms and want to change over my DVR with one that has Accusense and found both DS-7732NXI-I4 and DS-7608NXI-I2
They both have accusense but one is half the price of the other and I cannot find a comparison. Is the 7732 worth the increased price?

Quick question, just got DS-7616NXI, wondering what hard drive would be best to install? Will WD Gold be better option than WD Purple Pro? or should I stick with Purple Pro 180 TB/yr and don't think about Gold's 550TB/yr. If Gold performs as well as or better than Purple Pro then for small price difference, Gold might be a better option. Do you know if WD Gold has AllFrame 4K tech as om Purple?
We use Toshiba here and there surveillance and enterprise range, but the WD purple is a very good range and optimised for Surveillance and what we previously sold , so it’s what we would recommended from a WD perspective
@@DVSLTD Are you able to confirm if Accusense cameras will work on DeepinMind series of NVR? I don't know what's the dfifference between 4S vs S models though. Looks like 4S was probably older model and S are newer ones. But not sure if there's any other technical difference. Can't find anywhere online.
@@freedom9041 yes they will work , if you use a acusense camera it doesn’t need the Acusense tech on the NVR as its done on the camera, whereas the Acusense NVR supports older or non Acusense models with the tech on the NVR if that makes sense, ?? , the 4S is the Acusense NVR model older , wheras the NXI-S is the newer version in essence 😊

I know it was discontinued and replaced with X series but I was getting a good deal locally for 16S. Just curious if there was any serious issues with it, should I stay away with that old tech or it will still be good.
iDS-7608NXI-I2/8P/X(STD)(C) is it support third party?vendor. if it supports wich vendor cameras it support pleas?
the unit supports ONVIF cameras if that helps

They can work with both as long as the DVR has IP inputs

Question: I recently purchased DS-7608NXI. I have IP ONVIF cameras (not Hikvision) and I am trying to get to set up motion detection by NVR but to no avail. Is that possible at all? How?

Can you plug a poe switch into 1 of the poe ports on back and put all 32 cams on the poe side of the unit
Yes you can , I series is the recommended way and you have to set the POE port to off so it is a normal switch port 😊

Why on earth will they need you to dumb the video down to 2MP, what is the point then of buying 4MP cameras if I can't use it?
You can use it above 2MP , there is sub stream option in there which is shown in the video 😊
@@DVSLTD surely the thing can't be as accurate on the 2MP sub-stream as it would be on the 4MP or even 8MP main-stream? hikvsions analytics is pretty hit and miss ( I use the ColorVu Gen2 ( G5 ) cameras and a 77 NVR and it's not that impressive ) so they can use all the pixels they can get :P
On this note of bashing Hikvision, when are they upgrading iVMS 4200, the mac app is unusable especially on the newer M1 machines and the windows based iVMS is built like typical Chinese software, buggy and laggy - I genuinely wish they would just stop for a year, don't bring out new cameras, just improve your software .
Even the Hik connect app, Remote Managment never works, despite working DDNS and Port Forwarding etc.
They have a long way to go, apologies for the rant, but I come from Unifi, and Uniview, both in leagues of their own from a end user perspective - heck simple example, why does the Hik connect app not allow us to filter the notifications per camera, I got 16 cameras all with VCA rules, allow me to filter on a specific camera.
I can go on for days, hikvision needs to step up.
hikvision camera and nvr systems are overcomplicated, even their mobile apps are confusing af.

Do not buy this NVR! It's performance is extremely slow. Watching footage is nightmare. It requires installation of IExplore plugins! Extremely dengerous and recommend by MS.
