I’ll never forget the first time I ever saw Wicked onstage. I had no knowledge of the show except for Popular and One Short Day. As soon as that first chord hit and the dragon started moving I was like ohhh snap. I’ve been hooked. I’ve seen it 8 times and I still get chills. I have my concerns about the movie but I hope I don’t have a reason to be worried
I love this! Stephen Schwartz is brilliant. I love everything that man does. I don’t understand why these new composers don’t emulate this kind of epic, lush writing. It paints such a vivid, emotional picture for the audience and why people adore this musical. It evokes mood and world building and stays in that classic and timeless space. This musical will stand the test of time unlike the Ohio musical. 😜
Love your breakdowns/score studies. It would be amazing to see an in depth breakdown of No One Mourns the Wicked. It is such a massive piece with so much going on and so much power. When I had the good fortune to see the show Live, I had tears in my eyes already by the end of No One Mourns the Wicked. All in all, just found your channel by accident and am loving all your content! Thank You!
I have been looking for the video of you winging “waving through a window” because I remember watching it like 20 times and laughing so much years ago but now I can’t find it! Am I blind or is it not up anymore? I recently rediscovered your channel and I’m super pumped because I watched all your videos years ago 😂
@@KevinLynchMusic sorry, but I’m having a hard time finding it. With the new movie being released there’s a ton of new things making it harder to find. Are you sure you don’t have a link? Or know what to search up? Because I don’t know the exact terminology for it.
Hey! Love those breakdown videos of yours! Where can I find this version of the score you use? I have been trying to buy the score, but they all seem simplified. Yours seems a lot more rich and complete in terms of the music and also seems to include the dialog parts too. I would love to buy it! Any pointers would be super appreciated!
Everyone keeps saying that the score for the film is totally unchanged and it really bothers me, because there’s a lot of really minor changes, but *The Hat Melts* is missing. Hate to nitpick and bitch, but I’m going to nitpick and bitch. It’s my favorite part of the score. I know they went with the music originally in the workshops for that bit but ughhh. Just scratches my brain so good. Was happy they at least kept that fanfare for “Good News,” love the rhythm and use of chords there to create the ‘malicious celebration’ sound
Kevin has broken down the entire wicked score at this point LMAOOO

The turd my dog left in my backyard will stand the test of time more than Ohio…
@@KevinLynchMusic You should leave one in the yard and document it and see if it lasts longer than that show stays open. Lol
Been watching you for 7 years! The musical breakdowns are my favorite!!!
Glad your back!!!🎉
Amazing! Love this. Thanks Kevin

🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Could you record yourself playing all the score please 😭
Where can you buy this version of the sheet music?
There's nowhere to buy this exact music per se. However, if you do some clever Google searching, I'm sure you can find something...
@@KevinLynchMusic Thanks Kevin. Shame it's not commercially available!
I know a lot of Sondheim scores are purchasable ! The ones I find online I keep for reference and education.
