Had to click on this as soon as I got my notification. This is the song that made AIC my favorite band since 1991. RIP Layne Staley and Mike Starr ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I had not heard of AIC before this song.
And for the longest time, I missed the DJ announcing the title/name of band....or it wasn't announced, so I was going bonkers trying to find out.
@andrewpetik2034 I think I heard it on the radio first. But seeing the video on MTV is what sold me. Been a fan ever since. I hope he reacts to more AIC. Have a wonderful day 😊
The animals are just a metaphor used here. It’s about censorship in our lives. You can get deeper if you wanted to read about it . Vocals are crazy. RIP LAYNE 🙏🏻
Not true. It is about animal cruelty and such. I asked Layne himself when this song came out.
It's a talk box, like what Frampton uses
We need a reaction to rooster
The riffs in this song are sick!
His vocals at the beginning are unique to say the least.
I have always really liked this song.
The meaning of the lyrics has always eluded me.
One of my fave songs from my fave era of music. Just kicks ass for days
RIP Singer Layne Staley & Bassist Mike Starr but a great song, you should react to the live version from Moore Theatre where you can see Guitarist Jerry Cantrell rock out, he also said the song is about radio people and producers restrict their music
It never gets old 🎶
These guys don't mess around, power rock 💪
I'm so thankful for the era's of music I've got to experience and that we used to listen to whole albums/tapes/cd's because so many loved songs were never big radio singles and you'd miss them so easily nowadays.
Bro, listen to that whole album. Put you down... SUNSHINE! Some of their best track are buried in that disc!
This was the sickest song i had ever heard when it first hit the radio. Epic Jam!
Great band/song!! 🔥
I was in my 20s in Seattle and constantly was hearing great music but when I heard that it was my first moment when I said that’s as good as anything Black Sabbath did ha!
Saw them open for Van Halen. They were goofing on each other. I think AIC was at least as loud.
FEEEEEEEEEED MY EYES ?
can you sew them shut ? 😩
Love hate love ,luve at the Moore ,will f u up. 🔥
Grunge / Alterative was not all that different from Metal, it was just more experimental and expansive.
Oh, I'd highly recommend reactions to "Would?, Them Bonss" and "Rooster".
Oh, also, I'd highly recommend "I Stay Away" from the 'Jar of Flies' EP.
Never could figure out why Scott Weiland is on the album cover
Does sorta look like him. That's bassist Mike Starr
As for the lyrics. It’s grunge. You can only understand every 4th word or so. We didn’t care. You sang, mumbled, sang, mumbled. Only recently have I discovered how unhinged half of my favorite songs were. Heroin is quite a drug. But don’t over analyze it. Close the lyrics tab and just rock out. The more aggressive you feel the better with grunge and NuMetal
