      Veganlovlie | Vegan Fusion-Mauritian Cooking hey in my country we called snake beans (bodi). With the curry leaf when you buy them fresh you can dry them in a brown paper bag after they are dried you can put them a in tight container they will last for up to a year it will never lose its flavour . I've been doing this for quite some years now . I also do it with bay leaves and maringa leaves. No need to freeze the leaves.

    What a nice episode! And what a good idea to use adzuki beans in a savoury dish rather than the "usual" sweet japanese treats... This format is really nice, and I loved the audio! Keep up the good work guys! :D

    awesome video!!, I like this format a lot!!! keep doing them, also the others are great :)... I have a suggestion, maybe you could make a video where you show more types of beans.
    I'm a frequent client on my local Indian market because their variety, and I always get stuck looking at the beans isle, which is almost 1/4 of the whole store ( the other big isle is rice ^_^) and their is an enormous variety of lentils, chick peas, peas, beans, etc... but I don't know the differences and how their could be cooked... maybe you could make a series showing dishes using them... IDK... it would be very useful and so interesting, maybe I'm not the only one wondering about those legumes :) thanks for sharing your recipes

    • @Veganlovlie
      @Veganlovlie  6 років тому +2

      That's a brilliant idea Vegoralia. We will ponder on how to put together a video tutorial like this. In fact we have a few videos here on different types of legumes and so on and we would love to add more varieties to this. Thank you again for your wonderful suggestion. (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ ❤

    Plantain in curry... That sounds interesting, I might try it. I like how Mauritian cuisine is so familiar but the small things make it unique.

    • @Veganlovlie
      @Veganlovlie  6 років тому

      Hi Kesi, Mauritian cuisine is a myriad of different cultures and cuisines, namely Creole/African, Chinese, European and Indian and it is not uncommon to find many familiarities from other cultures with that of Mauritian cuisine. I hope you try the plantain curry. Do let us know how it goes it you do. Thank you for commenting. ❤

    I've never cared for adzuki beans, and feel like a bad vegan for saying so, so I'll give this a try and see if it cures me of my adzuki bean prejudice ; ) Like the little black and white, "Yes, Teenuja is really washing dishes" interlude! TFP : )

    • @Veganlovlie
      @Veganlovlie  6 років тому +1

      We love adzuki both in sweet and savoury preparations. You kind of think they would taste similar to red kidney beans, but they are quite different in our opinion. Usually it's Kevin who'd be doing the dishes but he's filming, so he was spared! lol :D

    except for the aduki beans ( which reminds me of macrobiotics)....
