Svalbard - The High Arctic

- A short film showing off the majesty of the landscape of the high Arctic. Experience stunning aerial footage over sea ice, ice caps and glaciers as well as stunning mountain landscapes. See what it's like to encounter walrus and polar bears from a first person perspective!
Please note: Some of this footage is from a small drone, other parts were made with head-mounted cameras. When flying the drone, we took great pains to stay well clear of birds and other wildlife. We explicitly set out to neither endanger nor harass, and to act responsibly at all times. The footage with wildlife close to the camera was all either head-mounted or hand-held camera work.
A video summary of the two Svalbard photo tours I ran with Luminous Landscape in July 2014. Footage almost exclusively shot with a pair of GoPro Hero 3+ cameras, one mounted on a DJI Phantom 2 drone.

This is so beautiful. But I hope these places stay as they are. I hope humans do not rush there to spoil and ruin this beauty and solitude. I hope these wildlife and natural landmarks do not turn to Instagram posts of some selfish and arrogant tourists. I hope we can protect these remote and natural parts of our planet from us. Let's for just once stay wherever we are and do not further exploit our world.

Hi Peter- I love this work, I saw it for the first time last year... but did you know that other people are re-loading versions of it claiming it was shot with different drones, i.e. Mavic Pro from DJI: ua-cam.com/video/fR3iEcTt5ck/v-deo.html / ua-cam.com/video/vkeQEAzjbtA/v-deo.html ... might not be an issue, but thought I'd mention it. As you're the real deal I'll ask you a question- did you experience any magnetic interference flying so far north? And any tips for launching from a boat?
