Alicechats hello, normally I would always blindfold, but on this occasion the foods were too different in terms of shapes and sizes, it would have been very easy for me to tell the difference just by feeling them and then it would not have been fair. I have more videos going live in the next week with a blindfolded taste test challenge though. X

You definitely didn't shop at one of the regular m&s food stores - was it a train station one? They're owned by a different company so the prices are very different for their really popular convenience foods

Zee, living in Hertfordshire my whole life I have learnt people really do shop in food shops for status, a town next to me petitioned against an Aldi or Lidl being built there because they didn't want the shop bringing down the towns reputation...but those same people sneak over to the aldis in the other locations and secretly buy their food there, its so pointless! xxxxxx

Have you tried the Linda McCartney quarter pounder burgers with mozzarella? They are INCREDIBLE and the first time I gave one to my boyfriend, he didn’t believe that it wasn’t meat 😂👌🏻 xx

It’s a mixed bag for me also! There’s some thing from Aldi I just won’t get but a lot of things I love! Haven’t tried the ketchup but thanks for the heads up 😂🥰👍🏻
I agree I like some Aldi stuff but some of it isn't very good, but I buy my chicken from there and fruit and vegetables and the fresh pizzas are quite nice, but things like ketchup and baked beans etc I prefer leading brands.
This was very interesting as my partner is a big M&S fan because she tells me it "tastes better", But I tend to shop at Lidl and Aldi because M&S is insanely expensive 🤣. I agree on the humus...it's got to be right. Here's an idea for a follow-up video. If you added various things to cheap Aldi humus, how much better can you make it taste? Of course this also adds cost but how much does 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame oil cost? And that's a magical ingredient. Similarly, lemon zest, smoked paprika, smoked garlic, or even just a few drops of liquid smoke. Each of these costs a few pennies to add but would transform the taste.
I will have to double check my local M&S but we definitely paid £5 so maybe it was twice, I know M&S charges differently depending on the location of the store! X
I know you did this a long time ago BUT I know that Aldi and Mand S have their products packed from the same factories, I worked in one and regularly packed for both. Their raw meat products come from the same production line, their biscuits also come from the same production line as other biscuits.

I like Aldi malted bloomer bread, I always buy my bread from Aldi. I tried the Aldi spring rolls but I really think they don’t have much taste. M&S spring rolls every time.

The UK must have different foods in Aldi than the U.S. Aldi. While they do have some vegetarian things here, they don't have stuff like the sausage rolls and some of the other stuff shown here. There has only been one product at Aldi that I didn't like. It was an organic pumpkin soup in a little carton. Yuck! Everything else I've tried I like.

The cheaper Aldi garlic bread is so much nicer than the double pack, it’s about 30p and comes in a white packet. Give it a try xx
They have a special ciabatta one too, but yeah the circular one that is like dough is very very good too!
