I am very shocked, I just now heard about this. Monica Pearson was a great anchor on WSB, still alive and enjoying retirement. Brenda Wood was another awesome anchor and is enjoying her retirement, and Amanda Davis was making a great comeback after retiring from WAGA...then, got the promotion to glory on December 27th. They always say that our loss here on Earth is heaven's gain. Amanda was a wonderful anchor and journalist, very passionate about her work. Brenda's words could not ring anymore truth than the way she talks them here in this video, that was a beautiful tribute. We will deeply miss her! RIP Amanda Davis (1955 - 2017)!
There are some people who can just reach in and touch your heart...I grew up watching the Atlanta news and I've always loved Amanda's ability to report a story while lifting my spirits with her very real and genuine personality...I'm a 48 year old man and I'm crying for her loss...it is funny how much you don't realize how special some people are until their no longer with us...my condolences to her loved ones..we all know Amanda will make a beautiful angel ..she will be missed and never forgotten in my heart..
I met Jeff Hullinger a couple of years ago, a veteran TV person in Atlanta, very professional, and a real nice gentleman. Brenda Wood is a beautiful woman, always has been, and she's right, the death of friends/peers makes you realize that you aren't that far away from your time as well, R.I.P. Amanda Davis...

Amanda Davis played an anchor on Black Lightning. Growing up in Atlanta, it was Monica Kaufman (Channel 2), Brenda Wood (Channel 5), Amanda Davis (Channel 5). I remember when Amanda Davis was Amanda Beville. I just saw her playing a news anchor on Black Lightning, and became nostalgic. Looking her up on Google, I did not anticipate learning that she passed away. I feel I lost a member of my family. Monday through Friday, my family and I would watch these women report the news. I am sorry that the Davis family lost a loved one.
I miss seeing Amanda and Brenda on Fox 5 and I was sorry to hear they moved to another network. I love Fox 5 and how they present the news. I do watch channel 11, 2, 46. I used to watch channel 2 lot when Monica and John were there, but once they left, I went back to Fox 5. By the way, I think Tom uses to much make up on his face when does the evening news for Fox 5.
