Pink & Purple Screen When Turning On PS5
In this video, I will be showing you how to fix PS5 pink/purple & green screen error. Is your PlayStation 5 console displaying a green and purple tinge, or an off pink colour on the display on your TV? This can happen in a game, or just navigating the PS5 menus, settings or home screen and everything has a kind of purple haze or green effect on it. There are a couple of reasons for the colours being messed up on your PS5, so you will need to try each method until one fixes the issue.

I tried everything in the video and the comments but nothing worked. The only thing that solved it for me was unplugging the TV itself and plugging it back in. It was the TV for me not the PS5.

bro you a life saver. my settings on my TV was on game and because of this it gave it the pink greenish static like screen. soon I changed my settings from game to smart TV HD, works like a charm

Settings > accessibility > toggle “invert colors” on and back off worked for me. I almost had a heart attack because I had a washed out blue and green screen

Legend! Just did an update for Ghost of Tsushima on my ps4 and this horrible pink line just started crawling up the screen immediately after and your trouble shooting sorted it!

Ok, my problem is only on 1 account on the PS5 on Ark Evolved. Played Sponge Bob, but colors are normal! If it was the HDMI, every account would have this problem. I changed the HDR thing, and the colors looked worse, so I put it back on...I don't know what to do to fix the problem. 😭😭😭😭😭😭

So strange, I was getting a rainbow colour outlining everything when I switched games (has never happened before), tried changing HDMI’s & unplugging etc
Changed HDR settings to “off” and it went back to normal 🤷🏾‍♂️

This sometimes happens to mine. Semi regularly on startup. It goes back after I restart my ps5. Is there a more permanent fix? Seems like it started happening after I got a smart TV.

This fixed my hdr issue I was getting blue artifacts once turned hdr off it fixed it.. but are they working on a fix for this? shouldn’t have to play games with hdr off of my tv is capable

Nup, i bought a new hdmi ultra speed cable and still got purple rain , trees with ghost of Tsushima. Dead by daylight gave me purple green writing :/ got a new tv replaced as well still happened on it

None of this fixed it for me also on my Samsung tv if I go onto UA-cam (bc I can’t go on it on my ps5) I also don’t have sound on there but the tv itself has sound just not when I’m on apps it has to be linked to my ps5 problem as no matter what on my ps5 there’s also no sound

For me, none of your tips worked, they made my screen black and violet. I plugged off my TV and removed the Hdmi cable. Put it in after 2 min and it worked 🎉

Bro you want hdr to on only when supported because it’ll force hdr to ps2 games and ps3 games 😂 also if you have a display thats free sync use limited if it’s a trash tv use automatic or full leave deep color on
