Brother you are truly amazing... and from one genuine heart to another I love you brother! this is divine and truly heavenly sent as I was thinking on these things...as a producer I spend a lot of time worrying about not being able to play keys and know all the music theory... now I know that's super-duper important... and I'm learning these things now... as one entry-level producers who i consider unique because I start all of my production with my bass very seldom do I start with keys and whatnot. but after I find a solid bass line that I chopped up and flipped... I put pieces of different Samples together and they sound like something I got off UA-cam or tracklib.. but its literally samples I put together... but I felt that it wasn't good enough because I didn't play it myself. but it's my style... bro i promise this has been on my heart the last 3-4 days... and since i said just be you and let it come naturally don't worry about that for now... I'm creating samples that are amazing... I'm working on a sample pack EP for my website just because it's never been done and its different... but it'll be a free download for subscribers... do you know any producers who start with a bass line first?
I really appreciate that - And I love you too my brother. No, I don't know of any other producers who start with the bass line first, but your process sounds very interesting. And I think you should continue to capitalize on that. Keep doing your thing your way. I'll tell you a secret - I love producers who really know how to chop up a sample. I've actually taken the time to make my own beats and then go back and sample them just to get that sound. So everything has its place and its all art. Yes, it's good to learn some theory and to expand your capabilities by learning the keys, but as you grow in those areas, I would say this - Everything you learn to advance your production (theory, playing keys, etc.) should only build on what you've already started. Never replace your old skills with new ones, just add the new ones. That way, you won't lose your sound and you'll continue to grow instead of staying on the same level. Loved the intro to the first beat, that was really nice! The biggest takeaway of what you said for me is, go and make music. I spend way too much time on UA-cam watching other people being productive and making music. Of course, it's good to support other people and check out what they're doing, but I should only do so "after" I've put in time on my own work. I love how you can create an entire track in one sitting (day), I can only dream of that, LOL. I'm good at coming up with intros and outros but everything in between.... Came up with 2 grooves today, could be intros or outros, but they'll probably remain in their current state for the rest of time. I have hundreds of them.

Thanks bro! 🙏🏽 That's right - While it's great to support others, you OWE it to yourself to give it your all. Everyone's creative process is different, so maybe your process involves coming up with intros and outros first. That's actually amazing, but knowing that you play sax and hearing your style, I can understand why. I think you have a very "musical" way of putting your tracks together and I'm assuming it's a little more "organic" than a lot of the more electronic music that's being made. I'd say to definitely keep that up because I really like the "realness" of your music. Maybe you should try intentionally breaking your tracks up into 2 sessions. First, do your intro and outro and then leave it for a little while. Then, make yourself sit there and commit a whole session to coming up with (at least some of) the other sections. But understand that you're working on some masterpieces bro...It might not get done all in a day and that's fine as long as you're putting in the work. Keep going my brother - You have something big to contribute to this world and we all want to hear it. Thanks again bro! ✊🏽
