  • Join us as we spend our Easter over the The Abacos, The Bahamas going to Nippers and Grabbers on Great Guana Cay. We are staying on Treasure Cay as usual so it was just a quick jump over to Great Guana. We ended the day over at Pineapples on Green Turtle Cay. Luckily, a client of mine is letting us use his SeaVee 340B to hop around on and it is such an awesome boat.
    As always, do not hesitate to reach out with anything boating or Bahamas related.

      @@NickOlinde Mind if I ask a question? We are staying on Guana Cay for the week. Want to hit Green Turtle, Elbow, Treasure etc plus some snorkeling. Recommendations on renting a boat vs taking the ferry/golf cart?

      @@BlakeAllen-ou1fy Absolutely not! I would 100% rent a boat. There is no better way to explore The Abacos than by boat! With your own or a rental you have the freedoms to go and do whatever you want, whenver you want. You can also explore different sandbars/beaches and go diving, etc. If you can find a rental available, it will make your trip way more fun.

    My favorite sign is "Bad choices make great stories". Summed up our trip that week, particularly the trip over from TC to Guana... The seas were crazy and being an inland lake boater, captaining a 20' MC X2, left me with limited experience behind a center consol 26' rental on the ocean... But I got it done, we made it there and back without incident, aside from likely scaring my wife from wanting to get back onto a boat in the ocean any time in the near future. ;) It was great running into you at Florences on Thursday morning. Thanks for the conversation. Keep doing what you do. Love your videos and hopefully in a few years, Ill get the opportunity to get back to the Abacos to do all the things that I had planned that week that we were unfortunately unable to do with the rough seas. Take care.

    Yes! Yes! Yes! Show us your specific method of how you anchor using stern anchor to dock as bow anchor.
    Thank you. Thank you.
    On a more humorous note; 7:18 "...the walk from Nippers over to Grabbers and, you know, from Nippers back to Grabbers..." Isn't that the same way? LOL. And that's before any alcohol.
    Ha! We love you, bro.
    Cheers,
    Tad

    And the Americans don’t do everything they can to “make money”? Bahamians rule.

    • @NickOlinde
      @NickOlinde  4 місяці тому

      Everyone does! My comment was talking about the Bahamian in isolation. There is not getting around that The Bahamas is a relatively poor country in comparison to the US and so work like this is more common among the general population, especially when tourism is the primary industry. And I completely agree! Almost every Bahamian I know is a great person and a very hard worker. They do rule.

      @@NickOlinde All good. Just don’t like Americans banging on hard working Bahamians just trying to survive. They are some of the friendliest people I have ever met even under challenging conditions.
