    The hiring process is getting more and more complicated with companies adding new steps every year to sort the hundreds of resumes they receive for every job posting.
    Applying online became one of the least efficient strategies to find a job you would be proud of. Instead, I propose a new way to be different in the job search process.
    Standing out is not something new. People have been submitting video resumes, online portfolios and reaching out to hiring managers to land amazing jobs.

    This is already common practice here in Switzerland, they actually ask for it in the digital application form. Without it you don't even have a chance.

    Thank you Mahdi! Honestly, I have doubts about this service. How should I collect the testimonials? Imagine this, I come to my boss and say "Hey, I'm searching for a new job, because you don't promote me and underpay me. Please record a video recommendation for me". I will be fired immediately :)
    Also, why would my ex-bosses bother to give me recommendations? What's their benefit from it? They have to spend a couple of hours to make it up and then several hours answering all calls and e-mails from my potential employers. For what? I already left a company. Why should they help me?

      Very good question Val! I actually had the same question to Jesse haha, here's what I learned:
      Like not everyone will leave a review after buying something on Amazon, not all employers will leave you a testimonial. It depends on your relation with them. I have had Managers who encouraged me to grow and change companies so I know I can ask these people more than others.
      To answer your point on wasting their time, whether you use this service or not, everytime you find a new job, you'll be subjected to a background check where they will call your past employers to verify your work history. So they will do it anyway, you're just doing it earlier than others (that's how the candidate on the video stood out)
      And finally, you're right, if you're job searching I don't see you asking your direct boss for a testimonial before finding a new job, especially if you hated your last job. I see this service as a long term investment. Start collecting testimonials here and there from Managers you like and have a great relationship with and when you're comfortable. Then when you find THE job that you know will change your career for good, you'll already have tons of testimonials ready to work for you.

      Hey Val, this is Jesse! A lot of work went into making the process easier for your past employers. They just click the link you sent via SafeHire and record a video that must be under 45 seconds (they can write a short testimonial or answer rating-scale questions about you instead). Not only is it fast, it saves them from multiple prospective employers wanting to contact them (now and years later), resulting in phone tag and repeating the same thing over and over.
      You made a great point too: Probably best not to ask your current boss for a testimonial! Ask former bosses/HR officers/professors and built a compelling portfolio of testimonials over time.

    Hi dear,
    Can u please tell us in a video about how the recruitment process in PWC , I interviewed in 3 weeks ago one-one interview but till now I got no response ! my application it's still under review in the site . I emailed them but NO ANSWER. I got a job offer from another company but I'm super confused what should I do !
