Great video. Currently trying to pivot and this video is spot on. I was doing the minimum in the beginning and I quickly realized that wasn't going to cut it. I haven't landed a job yet, but I've totally changed my mindset and it's been awesome to see how it impacted my progress!

I want a job at a top firm for the following reasons:
1) People. I want to work with the best people and learn from them. I've seen it and felt it before.
2) Pays well and gives other perks.
If 1&2 is in balance, the rest of life is easy to manage and I feel satisfied and happy. That's why.

This video is super helpful and informational! But I wanted to ask on how do you keep yourself motivated and what are the things you do during the waiting?
You mean while you're looking for a job? The simple fact of having a plan and progressing just a little bit every week using a tracker or something similar will keep you motivated. But I also like to work on myself and become a more competitive candidate by taking online courses related to the job I want to get.
Progress keeps you motivated!

@@independentconsultant Yay, thank you so much for your reply! Ive been applying this the past few weeks and I must say that having a tracker opened lots of room for self awareness and improvement! To add, it would be useful to be intentional on the tracker, maybe have a daily or weekly evaluation of how they did on their job hunting season. Thank you so much again, Mahdi!

I am at the dip and I am not giving up. But I am stressed.
The first step is to know where we are in the curve! It's normal to be stressed, as long as you're constantly looking for solutions and iterating :)
