Like I was saying before UA-cam being down so rudely interrupted me: You’re the Bob Ross of pixel art. Your easygoing nature really gives these videos a great final touch on top of your very inspired work. Good job, man!
Wow it’s amazing how fun it is to watch this whole process. This was surprisingly really entertaining, it feels like listening to a friend explain his creation process to you, amazing! Usually these types of videos get rather boring since its not that exciting to watch someone draw but you make it fun to watch and listen to. So yeah, keep it up!
Man, I only discovered your channel today yet I’m already loving your content. Not only is your work exceptionally well made and detailed, but the way you communicate in such a down-to-earth fashion in your speed paints is very entertaining. It reminds people that artist’s aren’t just gods; making insane amounts of art in seconds with no troubles, but are only human just like us and experience the same setbacks we do. Thank you for inspiring others ❤️
I'm happy to hear that! Those are things I appreciate when watching other art videos and I'm glad it comes across in my own. Thanks for your support :D
I remember watching this video in 2020 in beetwin zoom classes. You are have inspired me to make pixel art. I can now say that I have gotten, Pretty Dam Good™️ at it.
That is some impressive work. I made a few sprites for UA-cam videos in the NES style of only 4 colors and it was a great challenge. I've since moved on to SNES coloring and 15 colors to make Shining Force pixel art. These videos are certainly giving me the insight I need to get back into it! 👍
It's so fun to watch the whole process of making them *^* Thank goodness your channel exists. I just started having an art channel and I'm planning to study some pixel art. I'm learning so much from here! I still have a problem with scaling the sprite from the background q w q Hope I could find something in your channel related to that. I'm still binging all your vids for now XD
Really amazing artwork and I love your attention to detail. Really great watching your process and listen to your comments. It would be so funny to have a real Game Boy game with a Game Boy character :D
Love your channel, great art. One thing I'd love to see you do is adhere to sprite restrictions as well as color and screen size restrictions. For example - a piece made entirely of 16x16 sprites (not sure on the GB's sprite limit, but it wasn't too high iirc). Keep spriting!
Thank you! Yeah you've got the right idea; the original GB was organized into 8x8 tiles, and only a certain number of unique tiles could be in use at one time. And I believe any animated sprites were limited to 3 colours only. I'll have to get all the correct numbers together and attempt a true Gameboy Challenge! :D
You forgot either to mention one restriction or to adhere to one restriction. A maximum of 192 different 8x8 sized tiles on the screen at any point in time.
Very new at this and still attempting to find my footing in pixel art, but I stumbled across your videos and they've helped me with a lot of issues I've been dealing with. I have one question though: what benefits might there be to designing a world with these 1-bit parameters and coloring/shading later on once everything is set? The major struggle I'm dealing with currently is shading and how light hits objects, but going with only 2-4 colors seems like an effective way to slowly get better at the art.

This dude is amazing and now I want to teach my mom how to design a character!
That was kinda cringy...
🤔
TungstenMan96 I don’t see why age or gender should matter in order to do pixel art.

You have such a great sense of balance. There's so much stuff on screen, but it all fits in nicely without it feeling busy.
Im just watching all your older videos since i found you here, best pixel art channel for me for sure!
I'm sure this is an older video. But thanks! Loving watching your stuff lately :D
Lovely artwork man! Very quirky and cute without being overwhelming. Miss this type of simple but beautiful graphics
It was really interesting to see your workflow. Seeing your use of layers has inspired me to be neater! Thanks

Your channel just appeared and instantly you are my favorite illustrator already!
man watching you doing this is so relaxing 😍
The smaller GB character is just so cute!
First day I’ve ever seen your channel and I subbed! I hardly sub anyone!
There is a 1.31520376% chance I would even care to sub on the first day...
Yes I somehow figured out the percentage...

Thank you for your videos, super helpful and you're supremely talented!
Very cool. Would be be interesting to see what you came up with if you fully restricted yourself to working with default sprite and tile sizes.
Very inspiring and informative. Thanks for all you do!

Amazing thanks for this kind of material
it kinda reminds me of what an old Minecraft world I had with a couple friends looked like
What a comfy video
At first i had literally no interest in pixel art but now that ive seen your content i really wanna try it
You forgot one restriction make sure to have 192 unique 8×8 tiles
You should definitely make games bro
Spinach Monochrome. 😍
Fantastic!. Keep it up! Subscribed!
I appreciate the support, thank you!!
so cute
That's dope 🙀🙀🙀🙀
How do you know when to stop adding stuff? Many times partway in I would've been like "this looks good"
You forgot either to mention one restriction or to adhere to one restriction.
A maximum of 192 different 8x8 sized tiles on the screen at any point in time.
Oh I hadn't considered that! This was only made with the dimensions and colour palette in mind. I really like the tile idea for a future piece!
No worries, I'm not mad - only disappointed 😏
I look forward to that future piece, and I loved this video too!
@@Booskop. 😅 Haha thanks dude!
"Take care and keep it square" works! =P
your works are excellent

The 'boss' could be a huge gameboy that were at shops.
can this actually be in a game?
cute 👍🏻
Can someone link me to this palette. The exact palette xD
can i have the pallete plz?
Drugs in real world = Bootleg game in gameboy city
I mean all gameboys can fit in your pocket
Hey Man! Do you posted any links to get yours PS brushes? CAuse i really needs good PA brushes, but can't find them )8
Hey! I actually don't use brushes, just the pencil tool set to 1px (or sometimes larger for different sized circles)
@@BJGpixel really? (8 looks like you have some pattern-brushes. Will try to do PA with only a pencil, thanks for the answer!
USING 4 COLORS + TRANSPARENCY ON A SPRITE!!! eeeek!
Maybe they use cartridges to play video games within themselves, so they have to look in the mirror
101st comment (also great art)
Aren't GB sprites limited to 3 tones + transparency? This scene would require some trickery to fit into gameboy limitations.

Great video, but music is really annoying and way too loud. I can't listen to what you have to say.
"you are here now, so you were with me, you just didn't know yet."
