- Me dunking on the various Elden ring endings because I didn’t have time to film a Magic the Gathering video today, enjoy! These rankings are based on the actual outcomes of the world and it’s denizens and not the aesthetics/boss fights of the endings.

I’m pretty sure Duskborn is “I think skeletons should have rights”. It’s adding those who live in death to the “natural order”. Basically it makes undeath an acceptable thing.

It's obviously an improved version of the golden order but it still the golden order. I would place it below the ranni ending but probably over all the others around second or maybe third place
@@user-sm7bl9ve5l I see why you may think that. The rune of perfect order fixes all the flaws the golden order/ the erdtree had. So no more enslavement or discrimination against omens. The merchants would probably be able to live freel but they would most likely still be hated. The erdtre wouldn’t feed on struggle anymore. Hence why it’s called the age of perfect order. Rabbis ending is basically just a reset button. Erasing everyone and everything that came before and Turing the world into a moon. So basically the carians (Or a carian since it’s only ranni) rule the world once again. It’s basically a less violent version of frenzied flame except instead of permanent erasure it’s just resetting everything

Instructions Unclear, accidentally kindled the first flame
Age of stars objectively correct, but I would add the additional step of taking Frenzied Flame in order to take Melina's place so she doesn't die. You can cure it no downside later and Melina's only angry at you because she thinks you are actually going to go through with the ending.

Age of order is not what you say. You don't just pacify everyone but rather rid the gods of their power making them on the same level as any other human, giving everyone free will and allowing the greater will to still influence the lands between.

This is just the best ending! The other way to get rid of the gods is calling Kratos
@Ex-memegodita Greater Will is still in charge, so it's basically just Golden Order with all the slavery and killing babies for being omen but there is no more demigods to make it even worse.
The only ending that actually gets rid of Gods is age of Stars.
So your ending is one step away from the Greater Will calling a reset, the Frenzy Flame burning everything, the Rot God corrupting everything, or any other OUTER GOD fucking everything up again because Golden Dumbass only took into account the smaller Gods.
Give me Age of Stars. Not only is everyone given free will, but me and my wife are on an Outer God murder spree.

In terms of how cool they are
S tier: Age of stars and frenzy flame cause they both super unique and very great quests to get as well
A tier: golden order ending, at least you are doing something good
B tier: default and fia ending because no way you played amongst all the problems and proceeded to only become elden lord without doing anything
Z tier: Poop ending, like wtf, why?
Frienzed Flame maybe bad... But you need to give one for Shabriri, the guy is so passionate that almost made total life erradication look nice.

Age of the Duskborn doesn’t feel like a “natural cycle of life and death” at all to me…it’s more about accepting the “glitch in the system” that is undeath into that system.

Age of Stars and Frenzied Flame were my Favs. (Frenzied Flame bc it was hard to figure out what to do for the Questline)
Unequivocally, 100% correct takes on all fronts, absolutely based Mr. Hound. The only debatable thing about this is that Frenzied Flame is the only ending that saves Melina which puts it above Gold Mask's Turbo-Fascism Express.
Nah, you can put in some extra work and save Melina with any ending by getting the needle from finishing Millicent's quest a certain way.

@@Tomoka51 Actually, she swears to bring you destined death in Frenzied Flame ending, but if you use the needle, she simply doesn't appear again. So she might hold a bit of a grudge after the needle, but not to the point of wanting to kill you, and at least this way shes alive *and* the world isn't on fire.
@@thrashergx4877 I'll be real the fact she says literally nothing when you use the needle afterwards feels more like an oversight than anything else. Clearly she knows how to find you if she is so confident in her ability to kill you, but to not even appear again otherwise feels strange, as if they hadn't even considered it would happen. Again technically correct but the spirit of it feels at odds with what happens.

Personally chose frenzied flame because whole point of dark souls is that one guy didnt know when to let something end. If we burn and kill everything there can not be pointless sequels not knowing when to kill something will only lead to suffering

Age of Dark was the new dawn for Human Race and it's something """projected""" by the nature, the Fire will fade and the mistake was create an infinite age of light, corrupting the Dark in eons of stagnation until the special ending of Dark Souls 3, where now Dark rules and humans can achieve a new form of life. Frenzied flame is just destroy everything and left nothing behind in an empty universe. Even because half of the game is about We Need Death Back, and even that part says "Don't use the Frenzied Flame!"

Chaos was the ending I chose when I first played the game so I think it’s at least 4th or 3rd, I did it cause I found it entirely through item descriptions so I was proud of myself 😩 also it gave us Goth Melina

The more you get into the lore the more tired you get of everyone’s nonsense in Elden Ring. (Yes including Ranni. She had a hand in causing the shattering and killing Godwyn, the only kindest Demigod alongside Miquella… )

I'm conflicted on the topic of whether Frenzied Flame is worse than Despair. At least Flame seems like a quick, final death for everyone, as opposed to Despair where all life is cursed to a sickened existence. It's the difference between death or prolonged torture. Most would see death as a mercy.

I hate the Frenzied Flame ending because the character kills Torrent. The cutscene was cool but doing the ending as a whole and Melina leaving forever after you go to the three-fingers made me feel bad doing it.
Frenzy flame ending is the best ending, it just feels like the most appropriate one for the story and it has the best cutscenes out of every ending, and a cool cliffhanger in the end too.

I picked the Frenzied Flame ending because I like the theory that it links to the Dark Souls games.

Fun fact, Blaide was created for ranni to be her protector with a twist tho he would kill her if she tried to destroy the two fingers and bring forth her destiny. So iji her closest ally and friend the blacksmith feared for her safety when he realized she had gotten the dagger from you to kill her two fingers so he locked blaide in a prison. Those ones with the stone worms. Well it turns out this was for nothing because he was loyal to the bitter end. In fact when you see him he’s defending her from the black knife assassins. Unaware he was actually their target. Because iji hired them. And when you kill him he’s just in fight or flight mode from the attack. So when iji realizes that he died for no reason he’s filled with regret while he’s processing what he had done to his friend. The back knife assassins attack iji because he sent them on a suicide mission😂. iji kills them all!. Then takes his own life with black flame that he used to make his weapons because he wanted his spirit to be with blaide in the erdtree so they can reincarnate together. My point is we murdered blaide for no reason at all 😢
Ranni killed my dog, the order killed my merchants, and dung eater killed my friend. I consider the frenzy flame to be payback on a global scale
Idk about that 6th place. Its an ending that gets an actual cutscene and a potential continuation by being chased by Melina
I'm doing the endings in a certain order to match my journey from being heartbroken into a better person xD
Some of the problems people have with Age of Stars seem to come from some of the mistranslated bits, making it sound like Ranni is creating a cold, emotionless, dark void where there is nothing.
The more accurate translations seem to indicate that she's more about creating distance between those powerful concepts and the physical world, or transcending the physical world entirely.
So less about creating an empty void of free will, it's about pulling the deep-set talons of abstract concepts and gods out of our everyday reality. They might still affect us, but they themselves have no true ability to act on their own. Honestly, with that reading the Age of Stars feels more like making the world to be how we understand it: humans believe in gods, and we have emotions, but those things (depending on who you ask) cannot truly act upon the world. They can influence us, but they have no agency of their own. The agency lies with US.
but have you considered that i don’t care about the fate of the world also after i watch the cutscene nothing about the world seems to change at all so actually frenzied flame is best because its bright and colorful and i get a cool scar and melina stops bothering me? also if we ever get a melina fight frenzied flame will be required to unlock it
I did the Star ending not because of Ranni, but it's literally the best option out of the rest.
The Age of Order, is second to Ranni's in my opinion. It prevents Marika from abusing or even creating more loopholes that lead to this situation. Meaning she won't be able to freely remove grace like she did to Godfrey so she could pull another Radagon bs or steal your grace. It's not some mindless loss of freewill, it's a governance that the leader's can't turn into a dictatorship again.
Also, to rank the cannibal pedo's std ending above it, let alone Frenzied Flame is wtf.
Frenzied Flame might be the "bad touch" ending from the Three Fingers, but at least it didn't go around touching and eating the children

I would swap GoldMask and Dung Eater endings and put the normal ending in between them, because a side effect of the Seedbed curse is that someone inflicted goes to the Elden Ring equivalent of hell instead of returning to the Erdtree and reincarnating when they die, which given enough time will lead to effectively the same outcome as the Frenzied Flame ending, Fantasy Nazi Germany but it totally won’t suck this time we swear might suck, but at least things could change in the future and people won’t get sent to Elden Hell or whatever, and also the normal ending just reestablishes the already existing Golden Order with your character as its 3rd Elden Lord, which the Golden Order is proven to suck for everyone who isn’t from some kind of noble family, and presumably GoldMask wants to make a slightly less dog water Golden Order

It's the ending that should make you think the most. Mostly, about how many opportunities you had along the way to choose *anything* else.
I did most of these except Dung Eater’s (probably won’t ever) and Fia’s.
I finished Fia’s today, and I gotta say it is indeed the second best.
After seeing what the Golden Order did to many people (Merchants especially, in the Frenzy Flame questline) and what that bxxxx Ranni did to our good boy Godwyn who was one of the only good demigods ever…
And then seeing what D’s brother did at the end of Fia’s questline… (Who of course I killed him after seeing.)
I said “Fxck the Golden Order and Ranni’s dream. I’m avenging Godwyn!” Feels great. xD
I also grabbed the Frenzy Flame to save Melina, and then get rid of it with Miquella’s Needle which I already had.
Genuinely one of, if not the best and most empathetic ending. The Golden Order loses it’s power, Ranni’s hold of a piece of Destined Death is powerless and meaningless when it’s literally unleashed upon the whole world.
A little bit of fog in a Soulsborne ending is nothing, compared to everything else that could happen.
Finally, everyone is united in life and death.
The perfect order ending isnt so much about removing peoples ambitions than not allowing the fickleness of the gods to influence mortals.
Technically one could read it such as you did but people also read the age of stars ending as negative.
As such I would bump the perfect order ending at least to second place. Age of stars gets to stay in first for me cause I get to go on a magical girl adventure killing all the gods XD
I like the flame ending because it's the second out of the only two endings that have unique cutscenes plus it's fire And it reminds me of dark souls

The age of despair is not wizard diseases. It is literally destined hell. Everyone no matter what will eternally after death be tortured and in agony. It is the worst ending. In the Frenzied Flame you just die. In Despair you eternally suffer
