Accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra, he is joined on stage by some of Britain's finest home-grown talent: Adele, Beth Rowley and Jamie Cullum, who all ensure that this is an evening packed with classic, swooning tunes.

I fell in love with my husband , with the help of these songs, we were able to identify , sing dance & be happy. We remained in love , cause till he went to heaven, we had our special songs of this era. To remain precious thru eternity. Thanks to all the artists, song writers from 1933 to 2000. Quite a change. I guess I’m just old fashion.

Indeed he his the greatest melodic composer of American-Pop in the 1960s. Those songs will live for centuries and centuries to come. He was a master at the craft of song.
My friend and I would sit on the park swings and sing "Anyone who had a heart". She had an amazing voice and sounded just like Cilla Black. We were young about 10 (I'm 71 now) and lived in South Wales. When my family emigrated to South Africa in 1965 I lost touch with her. This song brought back great memories. ❤
These are such brilliant songs, from a time when songwriters and composers were proud of their craft and the public was discerning enough. You just don't hear such stuff anymore, which is why hearing these songs 5 to 6 decades later still evokes joy and nostalgia. David and Bacharach are one of the legends of song.

In my youth, I was a member of our school orchestra. We played all these special standards. They hold such a special place in my heart. Fast forward, at 66 years old, I still appreciate the genius of these musicians. We were such a blessed generation. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤

What a gift these great artists have given to the world. I wonder if Burt Bacharach truly realised the treasure he left to us. One thing evident here is the appreciation he had for the brilliant ensemble of singers and musicians who interpreted his work. A concert for the ages.
