I LOVE these instructional videos. There's other manufacturers out there that refuse to do this for some reason, I won't say any names (cough, cough, Dan Haga). Anyways, these are a huge help. Thanks for posting!
My scorpion still ejects cases reliably with the Zhukov stock folded. Something to note is that the comb of the Zhukov is quite high and it makes the iron sights difficult to use. You have to squish your cheek down and maybe tilt your head a little to get a sight picture, but it's a very solid stock
^ Is truth... a very solid Evo+Zhukov setup is red dot with AR type folding backup sights. The higher comb can have pros/cons depending on your sights, eye and ear protection, and how you shoulder the weapon.
Finally! Thank you hbi for making this. The one company making a decent version of this adapter went out of business over a year ago. This will definitely sell like hotcakes
Wow.. that didn’t go so well.. I just destroyed my folding stock adapter. Not sure what happened, but the drill bit wasn’t quite so self centering and went into the plastic. I was using a standard bit, not sure what went wrong
An adapter that would allow the use of a Zhukov stock in the buffer tube threads of an AR15 lower would be awesome. There are a bunch of self contained uppers now that don't need the buffer tube. PSA Jakl, FoxtrotMike, BRN 180 and so on. There are people looking for an option in various threads. So it is a desired product.
Are you using a 3/16" drill bit? You could try using a slightly larger drill? 7/32" is the next common US size drill. Only drill to remove the head of the solid aluminum rivet; should only be about 1/4" deep into the rivet. After that the body of the rivet is about 5/32" or 4mm in diameter. With the head of the rivet drilled off/removed, you can use a punch to push the remaining body of the rivet out of the hinge.
The Zhukov stock has a high comb and prevents use of the excellent iron sights. Is there a domestically made stock with a profile similar to the stock on the carbine? Thinking of being 92r compliance.
CZ-USA offers a 922r compliant factory stock (the buttpad is the only component of the stock actually eligible for 922r). This would retain proper eye height for the factory irons. The 1913/sig/picatinny type left side folding stocks are another option that might be worth exploring if you are looking for "low comb" alternatives to the factory stock?
What’s the eta looking like and the function of it wasn’t really displayed but is it smoother functioning especially locking and unlocking the stock? The Magpul or at least mine is very tight and wish the unlock button protruded out a bit more; it takes a ton of pressure to unlock mine. Regardless tho this adapter definitely looks very nice.
We typically have these in stock, if not maybe 2 weeks max on lead time. The sliding action on the Zhukov-S stocks is notoriously tight at first, but does seem to "wear in". Meaning if you typically run the stock between the first and third detent for LOP, that portion of the action will then feel smoother than if you run it from first to full open. If that makes sense? Regarding the unlock button, we have tried to address that in the design of our adapter, allowing the Magpul button to protrude as far as it possibly can.
I recently purchased the Link for CZ Scorpion EVO w Magpul Zhukov stock from the manufacturer Reptilia Corp and have tried to reach them about returning the item that has not been used. I have emailed to now 3 or 4 places and left voicemails and No One has responded. Their customer service is awful. I am not for sure how to contact Reptilia Corp to get this resolved. HBI industries however has been amazing with the products that I’ve bought from them. This item was out of stock there so I went to the manufacturer’s site. If anyone can help with this issue I would love to hear it.
No, it is no longer a pistol. They should of titled it "How To Make A Short Barrel Rifle!" Unfortunately, NFA rules apply when installing it to a pistol. Nice stock though.
hello, I bought one of these and the adapter does not fit on my gun. when I try to mount it on the gun, it starts shaving the plastic off the receiver. Like it doesn’t fit at all. Really expected more for a $100 block of metal. Edit: I measured and compared the HBI adapter to my factory stock and the HBI adapter is 0.28mm too small, with the standard stock mount measuring about 37.18mm from each side of the groove in the mount, and the HBI mount coming in at 36.90mm. 0.3mm is huge in terms of machined parts, and in my case it was enough to shear the plastic off of my gun.
@Casp3r_de_gh0st please contact us so that we can determine what is doing on with your Evo. We came in this morning to comments like this from you on reddit and social media and cannot find any direct contact via email or phone? Please just reach out to us at 888.700.4888 or sales@hbindustries.net. We are here to stand behind you 100% and get this issue resolved once we know what the issue is. Did your factory cap that you are measuring at 37.18mm fit tightly or loose? What about the injection molding tolerances of the upper receivers? What about gen1 vs gen2 receivers? When you take two measurements like 36.90mm and 37.18mm... what do you suppose the nominal mating part dimension would be?
The vise is made by Irwin, I believe this is a 5" model. They are typically available at Lowes, as well as Amazon and other online stores. www.amazon.com/IRWIN-Tools-Multi-Purpose-5-Inch-4935505/dp/B009TOCZEC/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=irwin+vise&qid=1631128656&sr=8-4

6:30 for those only concerned w installing Zhukov adapter

i cant get the hinge to come out any advice im nervous to drill any farther down

I tried drilling the pin out.. having trouble. Can’t get the pin punched out
Sure would be cool if they added a QD mount in the same place the 1913 plus adapter has
With the stock in the folded position will it block the ejection port when firing?
No, mine cycles fine
What year model is a cz scorpion with a welded trigger pack?
This stock fit with Scorpion Evo 3a1 ASG ??? (Softair Replica)?
Thank you. My stock came without instructions. Easy peasy.

thank you i got right the 1st time! you have good instructions
Doesn't the addition of a stock reclassify this pistol as a SBR?
Yeah, you have to do a form 1 before you do this.
Thank you for asking this Q! I had just ordered mine last night, didn't relize it was a "Stock" not a brace.
Jonah Huggins some gun laws are so dumb, there’s zero difference between what is called a stock and what is called a brace.

Is it still considered a pistol with the zhukov stock on it?
No, it is no longer a pistol. They should of titled it "How To Make A Short Barrel Rifle!" Unfortunately, NFA rules apply when installing it to a pistol. Nice stock though.
Is this legal to instal on a cz Evo 3 s1??
Have to get a tax stamp to SBR the Scorpion in order to put this stock on it
As long as it’s an arm brace it’s legal
Do you make one for the PSA AK V?
Does anyone know what kind of magnetic soft jaws he is using on the vice? TY

HB Industries Awesome! Thank You
Would this same part function with a stribog?
Yes: hbindustries.net/store/shop/stribog-zhukov-stock/
Will my factory folding stock adapter work with this or do I need to order the zukhov with adapter?
The factory folding stock adapter only works with the factory stock, and our zhukov-s adapter only works with the zhukov-s stock

Casually manufactures an sbr. I wonder how many people just throw a stock on without the form 1?
what vice is tha?

Is this a brace still or a sbr
he made it a SBR,wonder he has a tax stamp..
@ebaker1972 doesn't need a tax stamp with an 07/02...
lol i like the fact that in order to show us how the adapter works he just made an unregistered sbr on youtube lmao
Might not matter. They might be a licensed to do so. or already got their stamp.
MANUFATURING A SBR FROM A PISTOL....Hmmmmm
Man that stock is ugly compared to the OEM one lol
