  • I live in a small apartment here In the Dominican Republic, and I started growing my own food with my wife about 1 month ago or so. We don’t have any space so we just plant everything on the balcony. I pay 152.54 to live here.

    1. Tour of our Balcony Garden
    2. Something else I plan on having in the house
    - Is a money tree
    - Mother law tongue
    - Areca palm
This is to help with the air quality in the house
    3. Option 2: Declare Bankruptcy
    - I call this a quick fix with long-term ramifications.
    - Sure you get stress-free for your elf today
    - But you pass on all that stress to your future self, and you will not thank yourself
    For example:
    - It's easy to file bankruptcy
    - But it will destroy your credibility for buying a home and everything else
    - Plus it says a lot about you when things get hard and you just choose to default
Tip: sometimes it makes sense. But more often than its just a bad idea
    4. Now that’s what I’m growing indoors but I think the main reason why I’m doing it is the important part -
    first is trust,
    - I don't trust the food I eat here with all the pesticides, and chemicals they feed the animals and inject them with, no one else seems to care here believe it or not but I do, for the sake of my family -
    Honest Work,
    - the work I do has no type of movement, and having to work land will also help a lot with health, -
    Future
    - I think raising kids in this fashion instills a lot of good values, and teaches them real valuable skills they can use
    Emergency/Independence
    - I was there in 2020 and I saw the supermarket go empty and I saw people buying toilet paper, but no one knew how to grow food
    5. I also have a compost bin that I’m currently building up, more on that later in a future video
    6. This is a finance channel, are any of my reasons for financial gain, honestly no, the best way to make more money is just to invest my money and use the gains to buy groceries ( not buy land, grow your own food and so on )
    7. In all honestly this little balcony garden is just our training ground, for the future, I believe if you can’t be faithful with a little, you can’t be faithful with a lot either
    - I plan on hopefully buying some land
    - And being able to have animals and fruits and vegetables
    - Just a little over what we need so we can share and have a small surplus

Cherry tomatoes might need a deeper seeding pot for deeper root.
Transplant them a tittle bit deeper. Looking good
When gardening you start small but with consistency youll see they wont stop growing. And itll be hard to keep up, but thats a good problem to have.

Amazing job guys! Love this so much, you definitely got the bug.
Its hard to fight if you love your health, independance, are willing to see the world as it is (rather than how we would prefer to see it) and arent afraid of a little hard work, then its where alot of people end up:
    Living the self sufficient lifestyle.
True alot of people dont get it.
I found out about this new term (to me) back in the day...homesteading.
I became a homesteader that minute, since then been in a houses, apartments, then house with land. Its really a state of mind (you can always grow something nomatter where you are).
Maybe you could get land, build (visit the farm while house is being built).
You guys want baby Brysons in the future so how nice for them to spend their days out getting fresh air in the country:)
Keep us posted on the progress!

I regrow kitchen scraps and vermicompost. Friendly suggestion, Its best to compost with red wigglers. Earthworms are very slimy and territorial and like to dig deep and would eventually die. I make breads, cookies, pancakes, pizza and as much as I can from scratch.

I'm becoming debt free now so I can do just that. 6 months from now debt free, one year later a small couple acres. Have been growing food for many years. Use your waiting room as a classroom Tommy!

We don’t believe coincidence. We literally launched our course today on how to grow in small spaces! We know there is the algorithm but I(Jay-Von) have been subscribed to your channel on my personal YT. Our course is aimed at helping those with limited space. We started with a small space at learned lots that have improved our gardening knowledge. We want to help others skip the guesswork and get the success practically immediately. We believe the Lord laid it on our heart to do this course. Blessings!

@@jamalbaptiste3863 thank you very much! We hope you are inspired and blessed with the joys of our garden!
God has always been good to us and we are thankful for his daily blessings. Keep us in prayer because this type of journey on YT can be tough with all the critics that try to put us down. Yet we are going to keep trying to give Jesus all the glory! God bless!

It’s not about cost it’s more about being able to grow it yourself and know what you’re getting. Look up all the pesticides, that they use to grow food. It’s wild
