I’m not even going to question how your HE round managed to penetrate that Leo 2 PSO through not just his hull side but also through the heavy composite screens.
To address both of you, although difficult to see, the kill cam actually shows shrapnel fragments from the round’s explosion penetrating the inside of the hull. And overpressure is a broken mechanic that doesn’t work in a reasonable capacity. While 3OF26 HE round does have up to 42mm of flat penetration at 0* obliquity, this is insufficient to penetrate the hull sides of the leopard 2 as seen in the kill cam. Additionally, while the round does contain roughly 5.25kg of TNT equivalency, and could potentially cause damage to the base of the turret rear for the portion exposed over the hull sides, this shouldn’t have been sufficient to cause total crew death, again as depicted. If a combination of shrapnel fragments and pressure did cause damage, this region was the separated ammo storage, which also does contain spall liners. The entire internal hull of the leopard 2 is also lined with spall liners to help protect the crew in the event that it is hit by a potentially damaging weapon, be it a kinetic penetrator or explosive device (which aren’t modeled in game but will be on the upcoming T-90M) which should have helped to mitigate internal crew injury in the event of being hit by a tank fired HE round. And regardless of what the war thunder devs would have you believe, overpressure is a broken mechanic that doesn’t follow logically like it should. Bombs can kill you through solid rock. ATGM splash damage can kill BMPs despite hitting meters away and being a shaped charge instead of an omnidirectional explosive device. I can accept roof shots, or artillery vehicles with much larger HE rounds potentially being sufficient, but what the shot at 3:16 was, was just bullshit.
In all honestly, if it was overpressure, this was simultaneously the result of overpressure being mechanically broken, and every vehicle in war thunder having minute, imperceptible holes in their armor and models as a result of the modeling process itself relying on a number of shortcuts in order to make something optimized for the game to run.
It was puerly overpressure even tho the animation showed sharpenel, but yeah, he probably clipped a weird pixel in between the panels that should not have overpressured even with russian he
dont know what you had in front of you, but kinda skill issue to have bullets flying on your head but not noticing, anyways, that was some spagheti code right there
@@gasparferrandisromero1075 I was scoped in and heard it and assumed it was a teammate because I thought I'd be dead if it were an enemy with such a perfect sideshot
i like your video It's not as loud as other War Thunder videos, and there aren't a lot of sound effects. It's clean, but it's very impressive. Your skills are good too I'm a War Thunder newbie, but I'm watching and learning. Thank you.
@@kirshenbaumPlays I knew you'd say that and honestly, can't blame you one bit, thank lord Russia doesn't get a top tier premium because rank 8 premums are so unnecessary and US/Britain will have their winrates severely crippled while Russia will be reigning supreme alongside China! 😎

HE'd him through the turret bustle bottom, armor under there is thin
There is no need to explain. It's simply just overpreasure. Don't know if you know but, the side are way thinner than the front

I thought the T-80BVM was the T-90M for a second, when #Warthinder dropped the new video upcoming update in December. 😅
8:57 What an acceleration.
Damn, this is not top tier gameplay, this is the conjuring gameplay...or evil dead level gameplay

1:13 😂
With abrams around the 10.3 and 11.3 should I shoot the lower plate or the turret ring?
Kirshen, based on the teaser/dev stream what are you extremely excited for, anything in specific that stands out for you?
T-90M, the fact that now you have a dedicated sight for atgms, the gripen

USSR/RU has the strongest tank in War Thunder !!!

Tbh I didn't get the hype about 80bvm I always one or two shot it with my dm53 through the turret or driver port its good tank great even but not op
right? now i am not the one who notices T80BVM not being as op as people want it to be
