I remember the first time I saw Springsteen. It was December 21, 1975 at Seneca College auditorium in Toronto before a few hundred people. A snowy night. Place wasn't even full. Born to Run had just been released a couple months before that. I've seen him a bunch of times since. It's hard to believe that, almost half a century later, he and the band (minus a couple, sadly) are still going strong and putting in 3 hour shows. Truly one of the greatest performers in the history of music.
After visiting the London show last Sunday as guest of Jan Jelle I'm now really proud of my mother's cousin, who shared his wonderful story of meeting Bruce in a Dublin hat store... Fryslân Boppe!
Thanks for setting this up! I thought he was doing the roll call but he just came by in the morning! I first thought this story is enough for one video 😅
Talking ‘Frissian’ is nice😀 How wort? Wer in prachtig moaie video👍🏻 Wist je dat de Friezen trouwens van de Denen afstammen? Die moaie Fryske Famkes liken volle op de moaie Deense Famkes😇
I forgot to thank you for grabbing me out of the crowd in Gothenburg. I will never forget. A simple thing but it was giant gesture that I appreciate so much 😀
@trimley may be! First I will go to Hamburg. But I need to go to funeral first though. I hope I will be there just before Bruce is kicking off! Probably no time for video then. But I think about your idea

Your videos are like "Springsteen and l" live version. really great. I'll be there tomorrow.
Thanks mate! It’s now, that only counts as Bruce learns is so I try to catch the moment of the day

@@JanJelle The pleasure was all mine, it was a beautiful day; see you further up the road!
Thanks again Jan - I don’t want these videos to end!
Me too! I love your videos Jan and I don't want them to end either. Really appreciate the effort you put into them.
Thanks a lot! But probably it’s one of the last ones. I do have 5 gigs to go but I have a shortage of time ;-)
@@JanJelle you’ve done a great stint - maybe a publication or video to wrap up your experiences ?

@Jan will you be at the last European show in Milan?
I’m a Jersey guy. Since 1975. Had Parken Copenhagen ticket. Couldn’t make it.
I had no idea Bruce Springsteen had this kind of following in Europe. His songs are so rooted in American-ness.
Check out all the videos from different cities ;-) we do love sometimes different songs but the love is the same.
Outsiders value our Americanness’s principles often far more than we do.
