A boat to drown in is insane
Saw them at the bowery ballroom in nyc and it was an amazing show. Unreal how much sound came from a 3 piece and no biscuit. The pride of Canada without a doubt.
hayden menzies one of the most underrated drummer of our time
Dude hits like a truck he's such a monster behind the drums
a fucking beast, and incredible visual artist too
What stands out to me are the times were he’s wailing on the drums while using the a light touch on the cymbals. PRO move right there.

He's steezy and also daddy simultaneously. Bout time we had a band with a hot drummer. 🤙🏻

Seen these guys twice pre covid, once in London with Drahla, once in Belgium, with Idles. They were excellent both times.
These guys are making Canada proud. Incredible band that must be seen in person.
Seen them a few times already and will be seeing them again in 19 days. First show since the shit storm hit last year, can’t wait!

The breakdown and end of “framed by the comets tail” is one of my favourite pieces of music ever. Gives me a rush of energy and I just wanna dance poorly, flailing around, letting go of all my worries. Fucking love METZ and all the good feelings they bring to my life.

I hadn't heard of this band before I found out on instagram that their gear had been stolen. I went to check them out and oh man... what a great suprise. The drumming is so powerful and spot on and the band as a whole are just awesome. Fuck the crooks who stole the equipment... keep on rocking!!
Oh god. I hope they can reclaim it. Having your equipment stolen on tour is THE WORST. I remember seeing ATDI play after crashing their van in spectacular style on I-5, they rolled the van several times on the grass meridian separating the north and south bound lanes. Still played an amazing show.

I hear a lot of Unwound and Jawbreaker in there personally, def Jesus Lizard on Pulse, I’m just glad someone is making music like this still. Atlas Vending is a great album.

What kind of bass is that?
That APPEARS to be a Gibson 1978 RD Bass! (I think). Only seen one other band use it, (Shotmaker). I could be wrong tho.
And also Nirvana (of course)
As stated, a Gibson RD Artist. I had one, and they’re super thick (to accommodate the Moog chip) and heavy - a true boat anchor.
