METZ - What's In My Bag? [Home Edition] 0625am 25.10.23 he likes things that fold out a la constructivism and lo!! good man - enjoys hellraiser. cool...
That record by Lync is a top-five all-time album for me. That and "Let's Give It A Twist" by Fitz Of Depression are what made me start taking music seriously as a job oh so long ago.
I just discovered Lync a few years ago thankfully on the Sirius XMU old school show. I can’t believe every time I listen to them how great they are. Really grateful I discovered them that day driving home from work
We'll figure that out as we go, but it will likely become a combination of both types of episodes for a while as artists still aren't able to tour or travel like they were pre-pandemic.
METZ - What's In My Bag? [Home Edition] 0620am 25.10.23 breakbeat begun, no doubt, by can....... and carried forth by metz. metz did a nice noise thang. i enjoyed the power pop vibe. it's just pop with some sense of earnestness and reverb...
Chuck Mangione? I did not see that one coming. Weird. Yet I wore that album out once upon a time. One thing I'm learning is that people can have broad musical perspectives. I used to feel sheepish about liking big band. But I love every genre, as long as it's quality. So that would be everything from the Alan Milman Sect, to Kunt and the Gang.
But why did they not talk about that satan is real record that was on the pile then obvi got skipped over? Always a bad take to not talk about the louvin brothers.
Unwound box sets on the shelf in the background. These guys know what's up.
One thing I would love to see in these videos is the members talking about their stereo gear a bit. Overall I enjoy these videos a lot. Love METZ 🇨🇦
I've loved literally every album I've seen Alex recommend. From this vid, To Twitter questions, to interviews, etc. He brings the goods.
One of the best bands on planet earth

All those late 80s early 90s Olympia and PNW bands are legends. Unwound, Old Time Relijun, Modest Mouse, BTS, Lync, Fitz, etc all fucking perfection
I can’t wait to have people doing the in store videos again but I also hope they keep doing these at home ones too it feel cozy in a way

Doggos!! Most excellent. 🤗
Six Finger Satellite had their own studio, Parlour. Big place for most Providence bands.
The Sound record tho!!!!
Greatest band in my car CD player right now
Some cool recommendations. I am also left with hair envy and dog envy.
Damn boys, not only a great band, but the best damn music taste! Respect

Busts out the Polvo, awesome
Is that a tribes of neurot box set?
Chuck Mangione's "Feels So Good" would definitely be in my bag as well. It was the soundtrack to my early childhood.
Halloween III is one of my favorites!
Oh and YES, Sub Pop DOES need to reissue Severe Exposure!
So into Indie Rock.
I just had a great idea 💡 while we do this stay at home version, can we also see the artists' turntables and audio gear?
Drums are good. Skins are tight. 😉
Yessssss!
Lync 🎸
Man i can’t find that lync album on vinyl or cd anywhere, been looking for years.
Is that a bootleg Wipers shirt??
No way Greg Sage got any $ for that, sadly.
