Thanks for the review, I have just ordered a COOSPO. I hope Garmin are listening, because they have lost me as a customer. I have the HRM Dual, and none of the precision screwdrivers I have fit the cover screws for changing the battery. Garmin went out of their way to make a simple task difficult. I also have the same problem you mentioned with the chest strap.
I recently got a Moofit (the black one) HRM, which I think is a clone of of the Coospo, and it's been working fine for my needs, basically Zwift rides on my Wahoo Core trainer. It seems accurate and fits wel. I don't need anything fancy that's more like an EKG than just a HRM, just an accurate way to measure HR. The one potential negative I could see was that the strap seems a bit cheaply made and might wear out faster, but I'm guessing that a cheap replacement won't be that hard to find. To pair it and my Core with my PC I bought a cheap USB Bluetooth 5.3 adapter by Maxuni, and it too has been just fine. It cost around $10 and the Moofit around $20. I'm just a casual fitness cyclist and both are perfectly fine for my needs.
My hrm pro broke recently, so I had to buy new one and after a while I choose Chinese Magene h603 monitor. As an amateur runner I don't need all of these statistics that hrm pro gives. Chinese one is precise with heart rate as Garmin and that's what I need 😁. And what's the best about magene is that baterry replacement is very easy and fast!
@@dedenrahman5797 I've been using magene for a month or maybe two. I use it for about 6 hours per week and it's still working on the default baterry that was in the device when I boutht it. :)
i have bought the Geoid HS500 for 15$ and works well. no complaints so far. Came with a CR2032 battery which i have not had to change in the few months since i got it.
@@khueta2804 im still using it and didnt notice any issues. Only when the battery is getting low it does weird measurements or keeps disconnecing from my watch. And i had to change batteries only once since i got it. Other than that it good bang for the buck.
Do you need a Garmin fitness watch to use the Garmin strap? I want to use the strap with my mobile directly. What are the additional features in Garmin vs coospo? Can I wear coospo while swimming?
You forgot to mention that Garmin’s strap can’t be replaced. Where’s as the others can. If you want an upgrade go for Polar H10 removable strap and onboard memory. HRM pro has running dynamics but you can buy the separate pod for that
Great info. I bought the cheap one. If I break It after warranty it warrants me buying a more expensive piece. Polar it is then, or a garmin watch.but I've heard those aren't actually accurate in terms of hrm's
@@alexreaderThanks, managed to connect. But how do i know after a run in garmin connect if the HR of the H808s is displayed and not the data from my garmin 955 optical. HR reader. Thanks for the heads up
@asprine3310 if you connected the HR strap at the start of the run then the HR recorded and displayed will be from that strap rather than the garmins optical. It will automatically go with the strap if you have Bluetooth and everything enabled. My fenix will search for sensors when I hit run and tell me if connected
Great video mate! However I read some reviews about the Garmin dying out after a battery change, did it affect you as well? Was thinking of buying the pro model!
@@alexreader Thank you for replying, appreciate it! Also I saw another video of yours regarding Hybrid training, has it helped you build a bit more muscle? Also whats your workout routine like?
@ruthuparnashetty5783 appreciate the comments :D good to chat this stuff to I love it! I actually come from a strength and conditioning/sports science background. So historically have done more strength work and built muscle. Now im mixing in the cardio. The balance has shifted to more swim, bike, run, with ironman 70.3 weymouth in 10 weeks time 😬 I have 3 strength sessions at the minute. Happy to share those via Instagram if you wanna see the particular sessions
Ah man thanks for the heads up, might need to update that. To be honest the models change slightly but the fundamentals are very similar. Hoping to try one of there optical sensors soon
i paired my coospo with strava app and it shows heart rate nicely... But in the strava analysis section my heart rate insights are missing. Do I need coospo app to record my heart rate and then upload it to strava... Thought is would be automatic @@alexreader
Great review. I watched this video because I was considering the cheaper one but didn't want to miss out on some thing. This is the first video I attempted to get the information from and you answered all my questions. for this, I applaud you. 👏🏼👏🏼 👍
My Coospo HR monitor burns my skin sometimes 😢I don’t know anyone with the same problem. Tried to save some money, but I may need to get garmin one nevertheless
So they are both accurate. That's all I need to hear. Cheap one it is. Thanks.
Definitely unless you want any of the cadence data etc. Does the job well, replaced my batteries on the coospo today actually

Sweet
I have that cheap one and was wondering if I'm sacrificing accuracy
Awesome, not from what I've seen!🙌
The video I was looking for. Thanks!
Awesome 🙌🏻

Ah good pick, the magene looks very similar to the coospo but not tried it

Try Magene or Cycplus who also have speed/cadence sensors

Can you do the lactate threshold on the cheaper strap?
Yea definitely. Obviously it won't take the lactate but the hr will be accurate 🙌
an update on how to use in combination with Garmin would be great. How do I know the H808s is used?
Good shout. It can be difficult! Just have to figure out the names and select the right one.

Yeah absolutely should be! Bluetooth and ant+, should sync up either way nice and easy. Works with my fenix 5 plus

Does the coospo do HRV readings?
That's why he provided the links to said product in the video description so you can do your own research and find out for yourself.
😂no bulging problem anywhere else
