    I can hardly get over how fly tying has changed since I started 50 years ago. Your videos have wonderful content and your tying skills are masterful. Thank you for sharing.

    Thanks Davie for another fine video of a nice fly. I don't know how that brain of yours works coming up with all these ideas. After some time at the vise it is easy to appreciate the quality of your tying. I wait for new and re-run the older ones daily. I will get the different nuances of tying with all the practice I get watching you. All the best, Sean

    Davie, I can't stop watching your videos, they are not only educational but they are an art form too. Thanks for giving me the motivation to start tying again after 20 years of dormancy! Regards. Steve.

    Davie, just found your videos. I'm an EastTexas crappie chaser, not a trout chaser, but they both have scales! You are talented and i look forward to modifying your creations to my style of fishing. Black & Chartruse are my go to colors, and I like what you do with them. Tight lines and Best Wishes from the Lone Star State.

    Using the o-ring to control the deer hair is brilliant. It's also a good way to keep thread on spooled bobbins,, while traveling.

    Hi Tom,
    I sent you a link to fabric edge scissors which is used to get a pointed edge then cut with a straight pair of scissors to get a lazer strip which will wind on to form a good body..I hope this helps you..

    As always, another great fly. By sharing the "o" ring trick with everyone, you have spared many from having cut wings and frayed nerves. I noticed the metal holder covering your razor blade as was wondering if it is something you made or is it store bought?
    Thanks,
    Tony

    hey Mr. Davie, would this fly be considered a floating one or a sinking one? How would you use it?

    • @DavieMcPhail
      @DavieMcPhail  8 років тому +1

      Hi Jason,
      These flies are very good for fish with all lines from floating down to the fastest sinking lines. They can be fished as fast or as slow as you like you just have to find the method the fish may respond to..
      All the very best Davie..
