You already mentioned the cause....being very tired. Most of my WTF crashes are at the end of the day or when I'm feeling drained in general.
I hate it when inexplicable crash happens. Good thing Cory is a trooper. She just gets back to it like nothing happened 😂💪👏
Seems like most crashes are inexplicable though. It's never something I prepare for. It's either cause I'm going to slow down a tech trail, or something I've ridden 100x and my head is somewhere else!
Carlos fell several times and couldnt tell what happened hahahahahah he will investigate and watch his go pro recording and still couldn't solve the mystery :))

Pedal strikes are like hitting a land mine sometimes
In a hyperbarick chamber now nursing broken collar bone after pedal strike sent me o.t.b. 💥🚴
When skiing and that happens we call it being attacked by a snow snake, I guess in this case it'd be a dirt snake😂

crazy and gnarly out of nowhere in such an unexpected section to crash in... happened to me and my friends a number of times as well. glad she walked it off! such a trooper to get back on it 😁
I just got back from a month riding in Sedona, Hurricane and Laramie. And eeverything on rhe way and on the way back. Life is good at 60!
So im back in the northwest lp, where i live. Boyne School Forest now has a new and great jumpline! Its beautifully built with wood ramps and everything! Its short, not a mountain, but totally lapable.
Corey be "badass" at climbing, lol!!! It makes the downhill so much more enjoyable and it keeps you in shape to do entire downhill jumplines at places like Steamboat and Wintet Park. I highly encourage earning some air now, so you will still have the strength and endurance at my age. (Tongue in cheek, but super serious!. 😊) Huaband is 74. Riding daily, no ebikes.

I hate accidents like that. Fortunately for me, I always have seen before hand what causes me to crash on the trails, and it may even be subconsciously prepping me to land on the ground in a way that only gives me minor cuts and scrapes. My worse crash happened ironically, when I was trying to catch a bus on my bike in Detroit. I hit a pot hole and I couldn't recover my balance.
Edit: My apologies for making my post all about me LOL. Cory's a trooper and a tough cookie. That's what I love about her.

she's getting pitched to one side on alomst every jump... use rebound on the shock to slow it down a tad... sometimes a click or two makes all the difference

Such a bummer that Windham is not reopening the bike park next year in 2024. I spent a bunch of time on that line this year learning to jump. Great line to progress on.

As a local rider to windham that mountain has such potential. It’s a shame they don’t do more with it.
The new trails are nice but they could use more the terrain is incredible for mtb

Not trying to tell you whats going on but I crashed a lot like this when my weight wasnt centered properly on bike. Had too much weight on hands. High speed pedal strike would be guess #2.

Looks like she just needed an excuse to rest a couple minutes, because she was flying after she got back on!
Lol. Yup. She was sending it so smooth after the crash. I could hardly keep up. 😅
It's a shame they don't maintain the trails here. It's a great mountain with a great lift. I think they even got Gravity Logic to do the original build.
what bikes are you on for this? how much travel?
Cory's on an extra small custom-built Nomad v4 with 170mm travel front and rear. I was on a 2021 160mm front/140mm rear Commencal Meta TR.

Doesn't matter, male or female, young or old, rich, poor if you are a mountain biker you are tough. Unless, you are riding an ebike of course.

Just me. Cory's too tiny for 29" wheels. She's 5' tall with shoes on. 😊

She was just trying to whip out her rear on all the jumps here. Makes it look like her rebound is too fast, but it really isn't. It's more of a technique thing. She likes it wild. Whatever the case may be, this footage is from last summer. She's on a new shock now with more adjustments. Her old shock was a basic Super Deluxe R. I appreciate the concern though.
