You guys are all shredding camera never does justice some of these features are massive
Everyone's riding has been stepping up so much, so rad to see! Cheers boys!
Whoa, that's was epic! Watching Ryan hit that big gap, I think I was holding my breath!
PLEASE stop calling yourselves "average mountain bikers," though - it makes the rest of us look like beginners, lol.
Oh man I miss Knox Mtn so much. Watching Steve Romaniuk absolutely destroy those trails back in the day still gets me pumped to ride! You boys killed it on Casino Royale, glad James is ok
DUDE! Those features are insane! I'm getting closer and closer to having the confidence to send smaller gaps and bigger (4-5 foot) drops, but those are just another league
The 'Gnarth Part' - that's definitely something I could get behind becoming a thing
I watch you guys occasionally, and its pretty cool to see james is in the videos so much now. I couldve swore he was only a guest on a whistler trip you did. Dude shreds so its great to see more of him on here
Been following you guys forever. Just wanted to say you guys perfectly capture the friendship and fun that comes with mountain biking. Brings out the kid in all of us. I've been doing a lot of solo riding lately and man nothing beats riding with your mates, hearing the excited screams as you hit a big feature. Encouraging each other to go big. Needed this today.
Went to Gillard at the end of last year and broke a wheel on the first lap so wasn't able to have a go at Casino Royale... but next time it's going down! Always the chill blue trail, always.
Love seeing our backyard on your channel. Living downtown, that Knox lap is my quick afternoon ride I can squeeze in! Also Brian from Smith Creek Cycle is a legend.
As BCer, thank you guys for showing how beautiful BC is and how dedicated local MTBers are to this small hobby of ours. Cheers!
Thanks for checking out Kelowna!!! The go pro effect is real on some of those sharp rocky sections! Such a great spot to ride most of the year!
Where are these "average" bikers?
Congrats to your mates for hitting those big jumps. But sometimes the wiser choice is to pass… so you can enjoy riding for longer! 😅 well done
Awesome video. Great riding. Love seeing Hunter. The way he shreds It’s no wonder his bike is in a constant state of repair. No pads. Half shell helmet. Inspiring lines with no fear
Nice! Thanks for passing by and showcasing some of the diversity that Kelowna has to offer. There is so much riding to be had!
Wow! My palms are so sweaty from watching this!!
I can't even imagine how much fun a trail with this many features would be. Love the energy in this video and some solid hits!
Brilliant bravery and strength.
Thanks dudes.
What actually happened when James crashed? Did his pedal get caught somewhere?
Hey, I clipped my left pedal on a rock which sent me flying. 🤘
Those blues will getcha. Today I got some good flow on one of the newer trails, but then heading back on the blue I ride all the time I hit the ground 🤷
We want more of this type of trails !!
Nice biking bro! Been watching you for years and im impressed how much you have advanced. Great video Ryan and crew
this video has a different vibe/feel to it. I love it
Full face. Every ride. Every time.
You never know when you're going to have a whoops moment. James will have the scar to remember his.
Don't want to be the dad in this scenario but Gillard always deserves a full face. great video as always!
My thoughts exactly!
I just bouht an IBIS OSO. Glad to see it representing.
I don’t ride anymore because I can’t afford to fall, but, what I think most MTB riders miss is the stuff you learn on a BMX bike. All these things people sweet about on MTB’s is what we did all day long on our BMX’s. When I rode MTB I always shredded the guys who never rode BMX.
Definitely going to have to check it out. My only experience with Knox Mountain was supporting race cars doing the hill climb there.
I got anxiety watching some of those features lol.
DUDE James has some CRAZY forearm veins
Didn’t see any average riders, but great video nonetheless.
Can I unclench now? That skinny at 10:45. No. No. Nopey. No. No.
Amazing footage as per usual , so clear in vision & audio and so much better than most others 👍🤟 What’s your camera suggestion for a hack who 99.9% of the time won’t do any editing 😜?🤔
I used to live there... miss it so much
Great riding and a great video but...
I mean gimme a break. If you're even LOOKING at these features and seeing them as reasonable, not to mention riding them, you're just not an average MTB rider.
Oh wow. Insane features on that trail! That's a big NOPE from me though 😱
I call that a Gotta Die Somehow trail. Over my head but do it anyway because it’s why we ride. Dope trail. #jealous
The only thing average about this video is me watching...lol.... You guys kick ass man.
Place looks sick!
Looked like an amazing time~!
I'd say u guys are maybe a little bit better than average
I can’t decide between Analog or ebike. I’m out shale so I know the ebike will help get me out for longer rides and more often. But I’m also out of shape so I should really just be peddling.
Awesome video. Subscribed
Awesome guys, but average riders? I don’t think so. Way better. Very motivating video.
damn man , shit happens fast glad ur are all good
Damn that looks fun.....
Looking good fellas 🤙
Great video! Just picked up an X3 what are the chest mount adapters you use?
What's the total tongue weight of that bike rack loaded with ebikes? Is there a hope for a hitch with a 1.25" receiver with the same setup?
Ok, you guys are NOT average riders. Nice riding boys!
The baby trees make ya'll seem huge lol
Cool video but WHERE ARE YOUR GLOVES!??
What kind of glasses was James wearing?
That was cool
How'd the bike hold up to that crash?
James got some big old British bollocks on him 😮😆😆😆
It's called Knox Mountain FYI.
What bars are James running? They look like they have an interesting cutout underneath.
Heyyy. One Up carbon bars. I've had ones with different rises and they're all great 🤘
@@Jamesyshreds Awesome, thanks! I'm running the OneUps on my Chromag, but yours just looked like they had a bunch more undercut than mine.
But Yeah, fantastic bars. :D
That gave me anxiety watching!
hey im a rookie at mtb, so this may be stupid, but what's so scary about wood to wood features?
Honestly, if you have the skill then the only thing that wood to wood features tests is your ability to handle your own fear.
It also depends where you are - here on the North Shore/Lower Mainland BC, where it's wet much of the time, wood can really be a mind-fu*k.
@@earthymom68 good point
Are you on insta 360 go3?
Let's goooo
What dropper lever has James got on his bike?
That’s an SDG adjustable dropper lever 👍 bit.ly/SDGseatsandposts
@@TheLoamRanger ty I am a bit of a sucker for oil slick components 😁
stem in 14:54 ?
Lol "average"
Average (Canadian) bikers 🤷🏻♂️😄
@TheLoamRanger still way above average... unless you're stopped on Ladies Only, taking a survery of skill levels...
Effing insane. 😂
seriously sketchy trails ! could see that on camera
Oh man, your insta360s are crying. Export that video at a higher bitrate and you'll enjoy much crisper video.
Nah it’s just a mix of fast movement and UA-cam video compression. We shoot in the highest res possible and export h265 files at super high bitrates for our UA-cam renders. Make sure you’re watching in 4K!
@@TheLoamRanger Thanks for the reply! Sorry to keep harping on this, but I feel like there's too much of a difference between the phone video quality and the insta360 quality for the compression to be part of the factor. For example, 7:08 vs 7:12 recording of the same area; maybe the bokeh introduced by the phone camera lets the compression play less of a roll, but it definitely feels like there's more quality on the phone shot (aside from the 60fps). I'm also trying to compare it to some footage I took on an insta360 (?v=WMl2J0a3J_w) which has similar speeds, but maybe less densely forested. Comparing these two videos, I can also see a difference in frame rate. I just feel like there's a little more you can pull out of your insta360 footage in terms of quality! Are you reframing via insta360 studio then bringing it into your video editor, or doing everything native in your video editor? Hope I can be of some use if interested.
I love the video, production, and content by the way. I don't want to take away from that!
60fps? Whaaaat???
Yaaaa... there was a technical mishap in the edit which meant that we had to render the project at 60fps. Won't happen again, I promise haha.
I hit my cheek and neck on a tree. Now I wear fullface everywhere.
doing that giant wooden drop with no full face helmet is a real smart move, who needs teeth anyways?
😬
Mathematically, if these guys are average, that means half the MTN bike riders in the world are better than them.
I'm willing to bet that they're top 1% for skill level. There are a LOT of mtn bikers in the world.
Haha! Go to the very first bit of gopro footage n POV and watch how close he comes to smashing his right hand into a fucking pulp on a tree . . . . than all Of the seg without any pause or break in the riding footage he's suddenly wearing gloves, hahahaha😂
That was a pretty trick bit of video editing
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW!
"Average". You keep using that word, but I don't think you know what it means.. :-)
I don't know what you are talking about. Do you really have any idea what an "average" mountain biker is?
Recognise this place from steep steeps videos
I saved for 4 years to buy my first double suspension and leave my hardtail in the garage. Now i gotta save for 8 years to get a fucking e-bike because thats what everyone is riding these days ughhh
to absolutely no one
This video gives me anxiety.
im sorry
You took the E bike because your too lazy to ride a real bike up the hill.
tHIS narrating is something of a f tier mtb rider
Bro you couldt do half of this
@@bwele2723 ok young buck
Nice to see you consider yourselves "average" mountainbikers
