@@RobertDIYI found this video because the door on our dryer for some reason one day we opened it to take clothes out and we put clothes back in the dryer out of the washer and we had to pick up on the door a little to get it to shut. And my wife doesn't sit on the door or lean on the door and she's never pushed off of the door so nothing has bent, I took it apart just like your video showed, the hinge was tight . I can't figure out what would make the door sag a little to where we would have to pick it up to get it to close. I thought about changing everything around and getting it to close on the other side to see if it would take the sag out.. but I don't understand why it has any to begin with
Thank you, Robert! The tutorial was clear and finally motivated me to switch my dryer door. It took me around 45 minutes. The hardest was pushing out the metal latch pin! Mine was particularly tight.

Thanks for the step by step instructions Robert. We just bought a house with this washer dryer combo in a stacked config. The dryer door swung the opposite direction making the wet clothes transfer super inconvenient. The wife put reversing the door on my honey-do list.
Door now swings the same direction as the washer! Happy wife... happy life.

Thank you for the video. It helped me to do this myself today. Took about 2 hours in reality just because I had no idea what I was doing. If I could say one thing it would be that it would have been helpful to see you actually do the job, particularly when it came to taking out some of the little pieces and such. Also just keeping in mind the direction (up, down, left, right, facing you, away from the you, etc.,) when you were speaking would have been helpful. Thanks again for making this a home project I could do.

Thanks for the great video! In case anyone else had this problem my door wouldn't close correctly so I put a washer behind the hinge on the lower screw and now it closes fine.

Given this set-up, why not switch the machines around so the doors open away from the middle as they are designed to do in side-by-side installation?
My first choice was to turn the machine upside down but my wife refused to help.
I don't know about Robert's setup, but in my washroom the washer and dryer hookups (i.e. gas line and vent for dryer, and water lines + drains for the washer) are built into the wall, and switching the machines around would have me crossing lines, excess dryer venting, etc. IOW, a mess, rather than the clean arrangement I have right now. Flipping the opening orientation of the door was much preferred for me.
Great video instructions are very good. So glad I found this video and I could do it.

I followed your instructions and reversed my dryer door, however, it won't close. All the screws are in place but the latch...which is now on the right is "off" by about 1/4". What did I do wrong?

Uno what i did after replacing all screws a part of my handle was not on , had to restart ..i'm taking a break mine is newer model ge front loader ..then i wanna do washer been here 7 yrs never thought about switching till today when cleaning lint trap

When I went to screw it back in on the opposite side it won't close but if I take out the screws it does close.....any suggestions??

Thanks for this video! Can you please tell me the exact size screws I should be using for the door hinge? Someone gave me this dryer, they replaced the screws on the hinge with ones that were an incorrect size and ended up stripping the holes they place into. Now I'm trying to switch door sides and would like for it to be done right this time. Thank you in advance! There are a few different screws for this model on Sears site, but none say hinge screw. Would it be considered front panel/lint screws?? I'm afraid to ruin the other side too.
Sad to say, I have no idea. Take one of the screws to Home Depot or some other hardware store and get screws a little bigger.
