In my experience, little finger (pinky) is the most difficult one to control, and surprisingly, middle and ring finger produced the least amount of error, and index finger with the most error since it travels the most 😅
Hi Isfan, If you are registered, click on button and then on the one. You will find an image of a keyboard in which the keys fade in proportion to the number of mistakes respectively made. You can check which keys you fail the most. Good luck!
Hello, thank you for your course. I have been typing decently well with a lot of wrong habits (still have to look for some of the keys) for almost 30 years, mainly on mac keyboards. Now i want to start fresh and am testing the hhkb pro hybrid silent keyboards. New gymnastics! The question is, my fingers are not fat but quite long, do you have a keyboard you would recommend or should I I stick with the hhkb for now? My fingers are more used to the apple ones, but i feel more shock in my tendons! Many thanks!
Hi, Yoso: Thank you very much indeed for sharing your experience. Do not miss the video of the lesson 14: ua-cam.com/video/aCx7oFXFxCU/v-deo.html Best regards.
@ Thank you! I watched it! It still remain abstracts as it is hard to say as we might think we feel comfortable even with the wrong habits! It’s easier to understand with more experience I guess! I will stick with the hhkb for now as for some reason, it is the first keyboard that inspires me to start from scratch and form new optimal habits! If it doesn’t work! I might go fully analog and back to hand writing ;) Blessings! Y.
Please, Yoso, think about it: “Research at the University of Washington has shown that keyboards with the keys curved to match the natural triangle-formed by the left and right hands-improve wrist posture. In addition, the research has shown that wrist rests can also help your hands type in a more relaxed and natural position. Health professionals often prefer ergonomic keyboards since they better match the complex geometry of our bodies and put less strain on our muscles, compared to conventional, rectangular keyboards.” Peter Johnson, PhD University of Washington - Professor Emeritus - Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences, Member of the Logi Ergo Lab Advisory Board www.logitech.com/en-eu/ergo/ergonomic-keyboard-benefits.html

Using two different thumbs helps creative fluidity when typing allowing you to reach faster speeds at least for me. it was one of the barriers that allowed me to type my first 160 wpm from being at 120 for the longest time.
My question is I have been practising touch typing for 6 months and I’m still struggling to type the and x on the keyboard what is your advise my fingers also hurt whilst typing on the keyboard
@@tearsien Wow. That is so encouraging. How long did it take you to get used to the technique? and how did you get about it? I find it hard to switch to new techniques after picking up a bad habit. My typing speed is close to 60WPM and I think with this technique, I can get to maybe 70WPM or even higher.

What if i hold the shift key and then press the "i" key to get the capital "I", would i use my right thumb or left for the spacebar?
Hi,
Use your right thumb, because the right middle finger finishes its movement before the left little finger.
Good luck!
Do you recommend using both thumbs for the spacebar ? I noticed I only use my right thumb
