I don’t know if having Darkseid revealed here means no Apokalypse box. The X-Men teaser silhouette had characters from multiple boxes, even the stretch goal box. And, of course, Galactus was a big pull for Multiverse. Also, really like the idea about Luther being a Legion of Doom style gameplay is a cool theory.
That is true. Just rewatched the Multiverse trailer and they did feature Galactus in that, though it was a very obscured silhouette, where as the other 2 villains they showed were grey renders. Also, none of the villains showed have been anti heroes. Every core since x-men has had 1-2 anti heroes, so I find it odd that we seemingly are going back to just 3 villains in the core box. Maybe they’ll surprise us when the campaign launches
I'm very surprised they dropped Darkseid and not Mongul. Three great villains in the core box is great, but I expected an Apokalypse box. But if Darkseid is in the core box, I wonder what they'll be bringing for the big bad...
With the exception of Crisis on Infinite Earth, I don’t know of any big storylines or characters that would be on the same level of Galactus or Thanos that anyone outside of hardcore comic fans would care about for that box. Imperiex/Our Worlds at War and Blackest Night were big stories, but the general population who only knows these characters from the arrowverse, Justice League Unlimited or the current movies may not care as much about them. We won’t know for sure until probably July and launch day what it will be, most likely.
I was bummed about Darkseid for the exact same reason LoL I made a trilogy of prediction videos for 3 seasons’ worth of DCU, and I assumed Darkseid would have his own box too. If they do a big villain box in this, who’s gonna be bigger than Darkseid to claim that honour?
@@rockshiregaming That was my guess for a hypothetical Season 3, but maybe you’re right: they might want to pull out the big guns now to get people hyped. My Season 1 villain box prediction was Zod (with Ursa and Non), so I might still get to check that off my bingo card 😆
Honestly didn’t think about it till I was editing. I just happen to be wearing the Hulk shirt that day, and it was after 10pm when I was recording so I probably wasn’t thinking straight. But I do have plenty of DC shirts so I should be good with future coverage videos 😁

I’d guess anti-monitor if they wanted to do a big crisis box to rival the Galactus box from Multiverse.
