  • Early Ages Healthy Stages is a multifaceted program dedicated to creating early learning environments to develop healthy habits for children, targeting kids ages 0 - 8 in Cuyahoga County. The program, supported by the Cuyahoga County Board of Health and other funders, leverages the average 32 hours per week that children spend in early childhood care and education to nurture healthy lifestyles.
    It prioritizes access to healthy foods and active play; ensures that children’s social and emotional needs are met; engages families and promotes access to affordable continuity care. Strategies to establish healthy lifestyles include support for policies, systems and structures that allow young children to grow, learn and thrive.

    Alison Patrick provides administrative and fiscal oversight of Cuyahoga County Board of Health programs that serve young children and mothers, including Maternal and Child Health, Farm-to-School and Early Care programs, and Early Ages Healthy Stages. She also provides technical assistance to school districts and early learning providers to improve healthy eating and active living environments that support children achieving their full potential. She serves in leadership roles on several collaborative initiatives. Alison has a Bachelor of Science in medical diatetics and a Mast er of Public Health, both earned at The Ohio State University.
