📝 VIDEO DESCRIPTION: Audio routing applications like Groundcontrol Room by Ginger Audio, Loopback by Rogue Amoeba and VoiceMeeter Banana are super useful for virtual routing audio in and out of the DAW. This is ideal for music production streamers and youtubers.
However, be careful using these when tracking vocals or instruments. It can result in your recordings being misaligned, as demonstrated in this video.

Fantastic, and in just over 4 minutes. The screaming goat was priceless lol. One workaround would be to do like they used to do in film production with the slate, just record a few clicks via the headphones before the song starts so you have a marker as a reference to check sync after recording.
Love the sounds and editing! Good info, too.
very useful, thank you mate!
Thank you! You saved me a ton of time :)
Glad I could help!
Useful, thx
Great video! Do you know if these programs cause any other latency? Like for audio output or playback in the DAW?
good point
iNEEDED this today to start a twitch...thanks
my main issue with this is sometimes crackling...it isnt super terrible but it does happen as its as if its skipping my interface altogether. i have my buffer way up so I have to play midi all late (u know how that is) ....really wish there was a way around that so I can make beats better while streaming
Hey wanna ask smtg, so I want to live with dj controller in virtual dj/serato etc and midi controller in logic Pro. Can I route output sound from virtual dj etc to logic pro with this?
I can't say for sure because I don't have a DJ controller but I guess it should be possible. You could try downloading one of the free audio routing apps and try it out e.g. groundcontrol caster (which used to be called groundcontrol cube)
funny car breaking noises
👍
Useless. Adds crazy latency. Maybe is good for game streaming etc, not for music production.
