From almost confessing out of guilt to telling him just to hurt him, what a character development

I’d argue it wasn’t just Walt’s arc but the arc of his relationship with Jesse (and therefore Jesse’s arc). When things between him and Jesse are “normal,” Jane’s death and its effect on Jesse eat away at him; when Jesse utterly betrays Walt, all bets are off. I would even argue that it’s possible Walt told Jesse about Jane so that Jesse would feel as betrayed as Walt felt by Jesse - like, not so much Walt being cruel for its own sake but more of a “hurt people hurt people” type thing.
Basically I think if Jesse had betrayed Walt to the same extent at any point in the show, Walt would have told him about Jane to hurt him. Again that’s just an interpretation and one that is probably more sympathetic to Walt than most people would feel after watching this
That’s not to disagree with you at all, I just like to make things more complicated lol

It's not about character development, he was geniuenly sorry for Jane, even though he let her die to save Jesse from overdosing, mostly. But when Jesse threatened him, snitched on him, and Go Hank killed, he said it to hurt him.

@@rafaelfranco3019-About Brock, He poisoned a child to get Jesse back on his side to kill Gus, why ? BECAUSE he was trying to save Hank and the rest of his family from getting murdered by Gus, Gus was planning on killing Walt too. Plus in S5 he told Jesse that he gave him the right amount of poison so he would survive. And Walt was relieved when Jesse told him that Brock (the kid) was going to make it.
Now what's worse, you your brother in law, wife, son and infant daughter getting murdered, or child getting poisoned with the right amount of poison and surviving at the end ? People do the impossible to save their family, and so does walt.
-About giving Jesse to Jack, well Walt wanted Jack to kill Jesse, he never wanted to enslave him, that was their decision. Before all of that, Walt never wanted to kill Jesse, both Skyler and Saul told him to kill Jesse but he refused, because he cares about him, after Jesse found out about Brock, Walt told him to come to the public square so he could explain to him why he did it, when Jesse came, he saw a big looking guy in front of Walt and thought he was going to kill him (while Walt wasn't going to kill him), so he threatened Walt. Walt then had to put a hit on Jesse to protect himself and his family, he even told Jack to do it Quick and painless, he had no choice. After Jack killed Hank, he told him to kill Jesse and gave him to them because he literally snitched on him, threatened him and got Hank killed, but he didn't want him to be enslaved, he even sacrificed his life in the end to save him after he saw what they did to him, despite everything.
-About Mike and the prisoners, I didn't want him to kill mike too, but then I realized that if he didn't do that, Mike would've came back to kill Walt after he kills his guys. Mike should've agreed with Walt, one of them (the lawyer) literally snitched on Mike, but he still trusts them for some reason and still wants to pay them, he took a half measure when he should've gone all the way. He should've gave Walt the names, plus Dennis (one of his guys) was literally ready to tell hank everything in return they would give him freedom, but Hank refused, if he didn't, Dennis would've told him everything. Walter can't risk to get caught, he wanted to live a happy life with his family, and he didn't want Hank and Jr to find out. Mike accused him for Gus' Downfall while it was 100% Jesse's fault. Jesse did 3 BIG mistakes that led to Gus' downfall, and Mike blamed Walt for no reason, he was 100% wrong, he made Walt mad because he blamed him for something he didn't do.

So we'll just kind of didn't act but Jesse literally sat there and shot up with her like actively did something that had serious risks that either of them could have vomited and died in their sleep so it was going to be worse. The Creator said he was going to make it so that he pushed her over on purpose and they were like no that's too far so they made it so that he was trying to wake Jesse in that and made her roll over so yeah I I kind of feel more inclined to be like Jesse you ruin this girl's life by not backing off when you knew she had been for 18 months

Dude Aaron Paul solidified why he won the Emmys so many years in the episode after Jane died where Walter found him in a crack house and he just broke down crying from the guilt. And Bryan Cranston is always Epic as Walt. This show still I periodically circle around you when I have nothing else really interesting me to watch I'm like I'll just watch Breaking Bad because it always is like you know I forgot about it I watched it the first time I've watched it a third time now and it's like oh yeah I remember that episode that was intense. And I just remember now watching like the reunions and interviews of like it's been 10 12 years whatever long and they talk about how Cranston saw Jane as his daughter like he saw his own daughter's face and so when you see that now and then you rewatch The episode you're like dang he does like he's he's really looking. One of the saddest things to me is how sweet what was when Holly was born and when he had to say goodbye to her watching that again after everything is like dang he just did everything originally that he thought was for her future but then he ended up feeling like more alive and more masculine. But I think that's because he clearly had a mother who was a giant b**** and then he marries Skyler who I could not stand her from day one and then Marie like her nosy sister and so Walt never felt like he was considered to be a man and so being this badass drug lord made him finally feel like maybe if people in his life had respected him he wouldn't have gone so badly off the rails. But he made his choices so he got what he got but I still miss the show like a mother f***** and half the time I'm like damn I just wish he got away with it.

Yeah but to be 100% fair walter did just straight up kill her. The show makes a point to show that she had her and jesse sleep on their side to not die, tho their drug of choice is a black hole. Walter still killed her by pushing her over.

Anyone else noticed that the only reason Jane died is because Walter, flipped her face up, in an episode Jane tells Jesse To sleep sideways to not choke.

Not really. Once an addict always an addict jane only said she would get treatment to her dad because thats what he wants to hear thats his daughter. Most likely jane wouldve killed jesse heroin is not something to mess with and once youre hooked youre hooked

@@scrotalbutter i know this comment is months old but as a fentanyl addict (no not on purpose i was buying the m30 roxies thinking they were roxicets) once you get addicted you’re addicted for the rest of your life. doesn’t mean you’ll always be in active addiction but it never goes away, and the addict has to be the one to want help for themselves and not because their families/ loved ones want it for them. i luckily realized i was dying and went to rehab at 19 here recently but i started at 17 and have had one relapse right before i went to rehab. relapses are bound to happen with addicts so there’s no guarantee anyone who’s been sober, even if they’ve been sober 2 decades, will continue to stay sober the rest of their lives
