Not my own observation, but something worth mentioning: Skylar begging with Walter that she did it for the family flipped Walt’s narrative on himself, and for a brief second Walter gets to experience what he did to his family this entire time.
The phone call is also important because it means Saul made the call and it can’t be taken back, which means Gus will know that Walt tried to interfere, which means now Gus will 100% go after his whole family
Well yea, that's obvious, hence the mental break and psychotic laughter that, honestly, is the most reasonable thing one can do if one finds themselves in that situation. My entire family is about to get brutally murdered due to the fact that I snitched on my crime boss because I was confident the money I have gathered was enough to pay for my family to disappear from the danger, so snitching is the best play to save my brother in law consequence-free. Leme get home and hurry the frick up, get the money, and skeddadle the fuck out of here with my fa.....Wifey...where is my money? Oh you had no choice but to give it away....not to just anyone, but to the one person in the world you cheated on me with......WELP THATS FUCKING HILARIOUS HAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
The clothing bags always reminded me of body bags and I was surprised not to see it pointed out in the video. Maybe it ‘s a case of “well yeah thats obvious” idk
I absolutely love how the roles completely flip in this scene: Walter just wants to keep the family safe, and Skyler confessed that she did illegal things for her family
Wow....I never connected that last transition.... thank you. This most definitely was a disturbing episode....physically, emotionally, visually......I loved the way you broke down the sound aspect.
I just looked and was mad surprised there's only 2k subs tuning in to this level of examination, commentary, and video composition. Props dude this is a great scene analysis and very entertaining to watch
Skyler slowly walking towards the phone as she is listening to Marie…she knows the threat on Hank is also the danger that is causing Walter’s madness. Only her family doesn’t get protection from the DEA, Walt needed the money to protect the family, and it’s gone. But like the badass she is, she’s switches off the panic turns on the pretending not to know anything mode and is there for her sister.
For a video of THIS quality it deserves 100x times the attention. but this is phenomenal i love how you approach these scenes in a much more deeper way than most compared to the generic "crawlspace tomb"
Wtf? you have 150 subscribers? i totally expected to see way more when i looked down after watching the video. Props for the high quality content, i'd love to see more breaking bad/better call saul stuff :)
This scene just made everything feel very dark, VERY fast, even more so than the usual amount on this show. Walt’s laughter was so disturbing I couldn’t believe what I was seeing lol. The severity of the situation was felt all at once in this one scene. Brilliantly done
Keen to watch this, I felt physically ill the first time I watched this scene and it was on my mind for weeks afterwards. Everytime I re-watch the entire show it takes me a few months to have the unsettling sadness about the giant waste of it all leave me. The writing, directing, acting, editing etc are just so real and human and brilliant that even knowing its just a show I can't shake the raw emotions it brings.
The voice is kind of AI generated sounding but I heard fork a different video that you’re from South America somewhere so I think it’s really courteous to try and use the tools available to you to make the enjoyment of your videos higher for those who don’t speak your language. On top of that it’s really well written, the editing is super engaging and the information is quick yet extremely informative and articulate! Great video subbed and liked the video great job dude
Man, watching Breaking Bad in real time when it was in action was a real experience. I remember a teacher in my school (of all places) put me on to it when the show was on season 3. Obviously I started from season 1, but this scene is the pivotal moment that hooked me.
He did it, he referenced the meme 😭 (This may not have been the intention, I understand that, but found it funny). This is where Walter White became Heisenberg
I remember after watching this episode I turned the TV off and just went to bed. I felt so off and depressed and didn’t resume until 2 days later. I had to take it all in.
Although I love this scene, I didn't really like how Anna Gunn delivered the "please, please just hear me out". I mean, it doesn't really feel like she wasn't being heard. I think it would have made more sense if she got worried right away, if not desperate, with what's going on than to feel like explaining why she did that and such.
This is also reminiscent of the Shining, the scene where Wendy looks at the typewriter and realizes that her husband has truly lost it. Same perspective.
idk why everyone hates skylar. i get it that we side with the villain in this show, i was even guilty of being annoyed by her multiple times, but upon every continuing season, every rewatch, i see how truly fucking significant skylar as well as the actress herself are to the show and she’s a god damn soldier bro. anyways. amazing video. from an english/cw major- the last line was perfect.
Soy suscriptor de El Carbón y apenas me enteré de la existencia de este canal. Como bilingüe, siento como si hubiera desbloqueado un área oculta en un videojuego jajaja
I have to laugh at so many of these types of movie/show analysis that occur well after the fact. They make such grandiose claims of how great this or that was and how creative the director/producer was to use certain elements. While some of what is claimed is true, much of it is just happenstance. The director sheepishly takes credit for such astounding creativity but often admit that it was simply unplanned. I am sure Vince Gilligan is taking all this in and enjoying his "genius." LoL
Best scene in the whole show in my opinion. I wish I could show my friends this scene to convince them to watch Breaking Bad without it spoiling so much.
Not my own observation, but something worth mentioning: Skylar begging with Walter that she did it for the family flipped Walt’s narrative on himself, and for a brief second Walter gets to experience what he did to his family this entire time.

Man I never thought about that
I just have to point out, that the clothing bag at the beginning looking like a body bag, it really cements the statement of “tomb-feeling” imo
Good point 👉
The clothing bags always reminded me of body bags and I was surprised not to see it pointed out in the video. Maybe it ‘s a case of “well yeah thats obvious” idk

I always loved this scene, it has always stood out to me. Thanks for the analysis 😊
You earned yourself a new fan. impressive analysis
i’ve never felt more disturbed while watching a show than with this scene. bryan cranston is insane.
"The most disturbing"? One word: Jane.
That scene is even more disturbing after you know that Bryan Cranston saw his own daughter then so the tears were real.
You are right. This scene and the baby kidnapping scene in the last season were probably the most disturbing for me..
Brilliant analysis with a well executed video.
Something’s telling me this channel will get huge one day and every time I say this is right lmao

I hate people that watch a video like this and then write "you spelled telephone wrong". Oh yah, you spelled "telephone" wrong.
nobody mentions the spider web in the crawlspace, seems like Walter is tangled in one, too much spiderweb is there for a reason, a symbolism.
I remember after watching this episode I turned the TV off and just went to bed. I felt so off and depressed and didn’t resume until 2 days later. I had to take it all in.
"Dirt the texture of death" wild observation
You're video is soo good! Huge respect
That is a good analogy that walter whites coffin is the wooden house, and the heisenberg is the metal lab.
I really like the fact your videos are kind olfshort. Hope for your grow on youtube !
bro really spelled Telephone with 2 Ls
I would argue the most disturbing scene is Skylar singing happy birthday, but this is a close second
“You gave our money to Beneke”😂
Sound design really takes it to next level they used very little dramatic sound / music
