Im in NJ and just bought her...112k miles and she is gorgeous, definitely need to upgrade the radio but I am just thrilled...got her for $6500.00 she's been babied and I'll keep spoiling her...I luv the LED Lights you did 😊🌹
I have an 05 Outback XT manual. Can't understand making changes that don't effect performance because that's all I did to mine. My car looks stock but has a short throw shifter, ram cold air intake, a larger up pipe, larger down pipe and cat-back exhaust with a modest dyno-tune. Check out Cobb for parts as well as their AccessPort for performance upgrades;)
@@michaelsprinzeles4022 Yes. I always have sunroofs and have never had one that leaked. My 2004 2.5xt Forrester did at one point only because the glass was cracked. Changing that unit out was a breeze!
I just bought the exact same model in Western Australia for 3K 'bargain' and ive taken it all over the state thru sand dunes and muddy trails and its never come close to getting bogged its an awsome car, oh and theres a button that increases the ac light brightness👍
I have the same looking 2005 Outback, but only the base one. Has 225,000 miles on it and still feels strong. Things in the interior are breaking down. I’m jealous of your radio. Lol Can’t wait to see what you do to your car.
I'd be very interested to know more about your radio swap - you mentioned posting a link, but I'm not seeing one. I have an '05 and I've been wanting to upgrade for the sake of bluetooth connectivity and auxiliary options, not to mention upgrading the power to the speakers. I noticed a mic on the dash in front of you; do you have hands-free phone connectivity through the head unit? Thx!
Really clean and subtle build. I have an '08 2.5i and am really considering switching to an XT. Is the performance of an XT considerably better? Would love to hear your opinion. Awesome car.
Congratulations for the outback and the video! I'm buying a 3.0R outback. I did you put the instruments cluster of the new version of Outback? Is it easy to upgrade? Tks!
can you describe the maintenance involved with this car? Is it easy to work on? how easy is it to do tune ups, brakes, etc. how long do they last if well maintained? Thanks in advance.
I've owned an OBXT 5MT for the past year so I can help a bit with some questions. As for how easy it is to work on, it really depends on the job. As for brakes and other tune ups I can't really speak on that since I get it worked on by shops mostly. These cars can last a very long time if cared for properly (like most cars), and depending on how much you're willing to spend on maintenance. These cars are extremely maintenance intensive so that should absolutely be taken into account, especially if it is higher mileage (say 120k or over), as many, more major parts/services will need to be dealt with. Oil changes should be done every 3k-4k miles with full synthetic oil. Also, do you plan to do any modifications? If so, what did you have in mind? I've acquired quite a bit of knowledge about these cars so if you'd like to know more just reply back to lmk. I'd rather not take the time to write out everything unless you really are curious, but I would be more than happy to if you are. One thing I will say is this is my favorite daily driver I've EVER driven and I would love to keep it until the wheels fall off...and maybe a little longer after that! Nothing really compares.
Easy as hell to work on. I’ve replaced all kinds of stuff on my h6 outback. Brakes, cv axles, control arms, wheel bearings (which btw they devour wheel bearings I’ve done all 4), sway bars, serpentine belt, spark plugs, fluid changes, radiator, electrical problems, heat shield rattles. This is also a good list of what frequently needs replacing on these cars. And these are all cheap fixes, your biggest concern on these is turbo exploding/head gaskets.

IMO this was the perfect car, the most beautiful Subaru ever made, just efficient, reliable, fun, and utilitarian.

I really like it! Those wheels actually do look good on it!
got mine from an older couple, they used it but they babied it as well. its a great car and they gave me every single reciept they had for it 😂😂
Very nice video it was nice to see all the features and setups you have in your Subaru! Can't wait to see more!

I have that same car. Silver with black leather.
@@4047530025 Mine is also silver, but no leather:(
I'll just have to live with it another decade or 2 to decide if I'm satisfied;)
@@michaelsprinzeles4022 So no sunroof either?
@@4047530025 No:(
You have a 16 year old sunroof that doesn't leak? Hold on to that car!

Thinking about purchasing one soon. Nice ride
I am looking into to get this model so this is helpful and I like the build so far
Have you found one. I have that same car in with 110,000 miles with a manual transmission.
I just bought the exact same model in Western Australia for 3K 'bargain' and ive taken it all over the state thru sand dunes and muddy trails and its never come close to getting bogged its an awsome car, oh and theres a button that increases the ac light brightness👍
Very impressive. This is what I call kick ass car!

One of The Window Decals on the car says "Qantas"
Those wheels work perfectly! Good choice! Sweet ride!
Great looking car how has she been holding up ?
Im getting rid of my 2015 mustang for this model Outback. Nice wagon

Nice, going to paint mine exactly like your bro, currently its black and i hate it, lol, wheels look perfect
awesome car bro i got a legacy myself and love it!
Hard to believe this is a 2005 vehicle. The interior is on par with my 2016 Accord EXL V6.
Awesome vid, I have the same year but stock as hell 😅 love to learn how to make it sexy!!!
Thank you that was really informitive

Yes it is.
Looks great!
I just got a 2000 from my cousin. I’m excited but it’s prob gonna break down soon. I think I’ll try to keep it and fix it tho
I have an 05 outback 2.5l and trying to replace the engine
What license plate tow hook adapter did you use?
Are repairs expensive for this type of vehicle?
Had no idea that’s how the armrest comes out, now I don’t have to be so uncomfortable.
Love it
Why are you barefoot recording a video? O_o
What does this get on has
mine looks just like yours but with a few dings. LOL

Thank you! I have not changed the instrument cluster however I changed the radio setup. I made a video about that!
Do you have the jdm plate link?
Hi mate, I know that the standard outback is 8.4 inches of the ground... you say this one is a bit higher, how much higher is it ?
The brz wheels do look weird...
