Only 5 minutes in and I’m grinning from ear to ear! Kristen on stage with the Monkees? Wow! 🥰
So many of us have yarn in our stash that just isn’t our right color. I would love to meet up with everyone and exchange our yarn for some in our correct season 😮. Wouldn’t we all feel so much better in our knits when we find what makes us feel great.
Excellent…excellent…excellent!!!
Great conversation and gorgeous knits❤❤❤
Thank you for joining us! ❤
Excellent discussion. So much food for thought. Thank you to you both! Lavinia
I finally got to watch both Part 1 and 2 and loved every moment in conversation! Kristen! You were in my head the whole time and I immediately want you as a best friend! Jackie. . . it is always so good to see you IRL and I look forward to the next time soon! I need to learn more about your three words. . . 😘😘😘
I really enjoyed and was inspired by this conversation. Jackie, you're a really great interviewer and I appreciated Kristen's willingness to pose her own difficult questions. While I would never tell someone else what to do in their own sandbox, I will say that I look forward to more conversations like this one in future episodes.
Clothes that caress the body (sensual space). Loved these conversations!!
That was pure delight! 💜
AMAZING EPISODE! I am in awe of Kristine. I thought my mind was blown listening to Kristine, until I saw her Vissla slipcover, knitted in 4 days!?🤯 Thank you Jackie for the relevant content❤
So much joy in this chat ❤ Love the slowing down and really thinking about the purpose of making a garment that we will love and it will love us back.
Great quote from Kristin “who will I be when I’m wearing it?” I think I’m going to be revisiting these chats! Great content! Love it!
So inspirational .. thanks for the conversation !
I couldn't wait for phase 2 to come along, and was thrilled when it appeared that it was ready to watch. These were two absolutely wonderful podcasts. Thank you and Kristen for such meaningful sharing.
Loving this mature intelligent exploration of knitting and fashion. Brenda Dayne did a podcast on setting your style with ven diagrams. Mine were Scottish farmer/ librarian and collegiate. But that is allowed to change. Thanks for being so much yourself
I haven’t heard a podcast like this ever! The joy of knitting impregnated with the style and consciousness of our personal taste! The idea that we can make whatever makes us happy regardless of the trend of the moment? Thinking of the three words we want our knitting to provide was indeed an enlightening moment I’d never given thought to, but now understand why I too have knits I just don’t enjoy wearing but didn’t really know why. Thank you for this special episode! I’m now a subscriber! ClaudiaSJI
Glad you enjoyed!
best episode! I love you two!!! Many words of wisdom and another way to look at ourselves with love. I would love to see the two of you together again and bring Dean!!
i enjoyed this so much. I loved hearing two women I admire talking about their knitwear and knitting practice in a way that I instantly recognised as the way I think about my making. I am going to be thinking about this for a while and adopting the editorial word into my own style words( fitted, elegant, vintage, cosy} - I need to play more! Thank you.
Best episode of knitting conversation ever. Fantastic questioning and such authentic conversation about what our knits can do for us creatively and practically.
Wow! Thank you. 🥰
Thoroughly Enjoyed this episode ! Kristen’s Beautiful Knits, so Inspiring. I could listen to You Both All Day xx❤❤
So wonderful. All of it. Thank you for sharing this beautiful interaction.❤
That was great - thank you! Please get together again and do more ❤ xx
It was so clear that you enjoyed every moment of the interview with Kristin. It was so good to see you smiling so much and flowing without so much cerebral intensity💜
Such fun, thank you both 🥰
I love all of this and hope you two will hang out again soon.
This was amazing! Thank you so much. I loved the conversation about aging, making, and discovering what you want to feel. I am on a journey right now that I wasn’t expecting after I discovered I am a Cool Summer. I am asking myself “what do I want to wear and how do I want to feel in it”. Having to rethink what really works for me and thinking about myself in a different way is intense but I am maintaining my curiosity about this journey. Kristen’s words resonated with me about her knits not loving her back and I realized that’s how I feel about some of my makes. It’s freeing to think I can let them go to love someone else.
Thank you
I love the puzzle. I have it in my Q. ❤❤❤
Definitely haveDean as a guest! Great show,
Travel!! Maybe it’s your traveling sweater!
What joy it was watching such creative minds discuss such intimate things about themselves and their creating! Real human show and tell. Thank you for that. I loved seeing all the sweaters too. You both are gifted makers. These 2 videos have given me so much to ponder! Would love to see you do another video together and we can see Dean being Dean!
I learned so much in this video, the most delightful of which is that you, like me, work as a dog doorman! 😂 Thank you for all you have been adding to my spiritual knitting connection!
Great convo. I can totally relate to knitting tons of sweaters and giving a ton away. I am much more into knitting beautiful things rather than wearing them. I am totally into expressing myself. I get asked why do I knit shawls when I do not wear them. It is not the wearing it is the creating!
Every sweater made, compliments you so nicely. ❤ I really enjoyed watching. It was like a mini fashion show. Loved it! 😊
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. This episode is so inspiring - self-love and acceptance through our craft/making. It's making me see my knitting in a whole different way.
My brain is kind of exploding, and my heart is so full. First, Thank you Kristen, for your candor, ideas, creativity and all around niftiness. It was a treat to be with you at the retreat, and now I want more time. And Thank you Jackie for the glorious implementation of this 'new way to be' with our knits. I find myself so changed, even day by day, as I start to unwrap my own answers. Getting dressed, shopping, and above all, knitting, has become something so new and so special. (PS- Thank you to Melissa Jenkins for tossing the colour ball into my heart!)
love that phrase, unwrap my answers-what a delightful invitation. XO
Absolutely WONDERFUL!
This was an AMAZING, EXCELLENT, EXCITING Episode! Thank you Kristin ! ( you know how much I looove you and your knits and writing ! And thank Jackie for such a delightful 2 episodes. It was truly amazing 💖💖💖
Fabulous vids!! Love the encouragement. Is there anyone who is anyone who has ideas for large ladies? I’ve always tried to stay with plain and simple. But I do love color. This is a great series!!
Definitely an important topic. Passionate about every knitter having the skills to make the things she will love and wear!
I have so enjoyed the two of you and your chat! I have a huge smile on my face, I didn't want this chat to end. :) Diane in SC
This was just fun and inspiring!
Ladies! These two episodes have been so good for my soul. Thank you so much!
Our pleasure!
Oh Jackie this was so fun. Thank you, Jennifer
OMG! I needed to hear this conversation today! I will have to listen to it again. Thank you so much to both of you. ❤
Love the conversation. It has given me a new perspective in choosing the projects I knit. Much to think about.
Meaningful conversation. Thank you!
Such a great interview (both parts)! So much food for thought. Really enjoyed every minute. Thank you both
There is a reason women have a closet full of clothes and “ nothing to wear”. You’ve had an illuminating discussion which I throughly enjoyed! And Kristin - you are the very first person I’ve heard - and seen - who has knitted Ranunculus and seems to appreciate the Japanese design sizing aesthetic.
We know ourselves like we know other people. We do and we don’t ❤
Yes!! Please have Dean come on and show us electroplating!! ❤
