Nice job! My son gave me a Marantz 2220b that worked great but looked bad. I replaced the lamps with LEDS, replaced the vellum paper and because of a bent corner, I bought a new face plate from Vintage HiFi Audio. It looks like a museum piece.

Thank you! This worked very well on a Marantz 1120 face.
I used white vinegar and the magic eraser. No damage to the letterimg at all. Even when pressing hard.

Looks great!. I was recently given a Panasonic Technics SA-500 stereo receiver & want to clean the faceplate. Can I clean the faceplate the same way you cleaned this one in the video. I'm nervous I might take away the black lettering around the knobs. Please let me know. The receiver I have is in mint condition.

Great tips. I have a question: Do you have a method of touching up any of the silk screened markings and text on the face plate. I can only imagine that you find amps that are otherwise in pretty good shape, but have some of the silk screening rubbed off. Someone has had to have figured out a way to fix this issue. Cheers and thanks for sharing your knowledge. 👽🖖"Na-Noo"

What’s the name of the spray used in the beginning? I simply can’t hear it. “Zep”-something?

What was the point of using a degreaser on it only to put grease on it at the end? Also WD-40 attracts dust.
