  • Hello there!
    In this video I begin my journey to the grand city of Plovdiv. Plovdiv is a very old city about 3 hour train journey from Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. I opted for the train on advice from a local and it turned out to be a great choice, less expensive and much nicer than expected. Thanks for watching! If you enjoyed the video remember to subscribe!

    The entrance you saw to the Roman Theatre is used even today. I watched Tosca by Puccinni in this theatre and it was amazing. You can't even imagine the view in the background in the summer, and on top of the normal view there were thunder storms in the mountains you normally see from this theatre. It was outstandingly beautiful 😍

      Wow! I'll have to come back for a thunder storm, that sounds amazing. It's one of the coolest Roman sites I've seen

      @@wayfarernick yes, it's best to go to Plovdiv in late spring up to early autumn, when it's warm/hot. Life there just happens outside once the weather gets better. The views from all hills are very beautiful and especially from this theatre. There are opera performances and more modern concerts played there. It's a very unique feeling to sit on the same seats ancient Romans sat and have in front of you the Orpheus mountain 😉.

    The mosque next to the Roman stadium was actually a church, but Ottomans converted the temple into a mosque …

      Well that explains why the mosque appeared to be so old. Thanks for watching!

    Don't go to Pavaj, it's extremely overpriced. I recommend Aylakria as a better alternative. Vegic for vegetarian/vegan options - very affordable. Sofra kebab for a delicious Turkish cousine, also much better priced.

    Do Bulgaria use google pay and Apple pay? Or do they still use cash as a form of payment

    • @wayfarernick
      @wayfarernick  Рік тому +1

      In my experience cash was most common still. There were places that took card but I didn't use apple pay the entire time I was there.

      We are from Plovdiv and we use Apple Pay almost everywhere we can pay via card.

    🦩🌺🌷May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." Also, can I share Isaiah 53:5 " But HE was WOUNDED For our TRANSGRESSIONS, he was BRUISED for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His STRIPES we are HEALED."
    God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin.Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?
