After making a delivery to Hinckley Point Nuclear power station Goods in, I asked, "Does Homer Simpson work here"? To which she replied, "Yes, he's in charge" Can't make it up !!!
She was obviously just really pleased that someone had finally asked the question, so that she could make the joke. Because you are certain to be the first.
How produces the generator and turbine ? And were is it produced ? I think in Finnland the new EPR got a Siemens set from Germany. But I am not sure about it. Who and where are the pressure vessels and steam generators produced ? If Germany would build some new EPR Reactors, were the components come from ? More over is it possible to install new pressure vessels in old german nuclear power stations ? Meaning to renovate them with complete new core parts by retaining outer containement and machine house ? Giving this renovated powerstation a new of 50 years life time ?
The Germans shut down nuclear plants that were far inland because they might be impacted by Tsunamis and replaced them with coal fired generation. That’s why they are leaders in Western Europe for power plant emissions. Nobody worse than them…
If you really want to know this stuff, it's written everywhere on the Internet. So asking the question BTL of a video which even names the manufacturer of the stator seems a bit weird. Like you have some sort of ulterior motive. Try using Google. At the same time, maybe it's also worth getting a spell-checker.
@@juliangauld7331 In fomer times it was clear who produces anything: Often a big Siemens, ABB, Alstom or anything else is written on the devices. Because here nothing is to see, I suppose it comes from China. England avoids any cooperation with continental Europe. This is also seen with HS2 Train Project. Here also chinese supplier were prefered over european companies. And in Hinkley C is a lot chinese capital involved, so it is likely that most of the components come from China. The EPR was original a German-French cooperation project starting around 1990. Because China copies everything from western world, they copied also the EPR architecture. And other than in Europe China realized EPR achitecture plants very rapid in view time. So probably most parts come from China. If Germany would build some new EPRs like England did, the question arises if german Siemens Generator sets and perhaps french pressure vessel components are available. I do not know how Finnland did it exactly and and France too. France want to build around 15 new EPRs in the next years. Are they imported from China or home made in France ?
@@wolfgangrenner4152 OK, so the entire point of your post was to make some sort of anti-China statement without even knowing who the producer of the item is and where it comes from. Good stuff.
@@juliangauld7331 The theme colonization from China of Europe is a serious item. Either Europe becomes an african style colony of China, or Europe defends its on industries and wealthiness. So this is really a serious topic. And there are only a few player on earth: USA, old Europa, China, Korea and Japan. And if the generator comes from outside Europe it could come most probable from China. USA would be more expensive and is less probable.
Looks like part of a large modular reactor!
Who made it ?

Great work 👏 keep going
what is the capacity of the generator?
alot!
